What about a security door? only opens for who put it down (or who that person trusts) and can only be breaked by who put it down?
there is also that door in the commercial to monsters vs. aliens but that movie isn't quite as much a classic . I like the key card idea.
One of my favorite things in Terraria was grappling a door and opening it. However, if say, there was a biodoor that simply let say a certain species walk right through, but attacked anyone else, that would be awesome.
I suspect this is a thing, in another place, but sorta, whatever it is, it has to look a little creepy.

Oh, oOoOoOo sweet idea you got there! I think this type of door should be in the game. You can shoot through the lasers, just not walk through them, no?
If you have TNT that door is gonna open, one way or another. I would like a door made of SunFire, in other words really really hot. You'd need special armor to go through! Not to mention all the pain! YAY! I'd also like doors made of ice with a hobo that when you say a certain phrase he walks over and opens the door for you. When the door opens it should melt, then be refrozen.
When I saw the title of this I was literallt like ... But luckily I read the OP... It would be cool if a door glitched out... That would prove a challenge if you are fleeing from hordes of enemies...
