I want an item "Keys" that can open doors, people without this item cant open it, would be great for Containers too.

And as second, fully functional fingerprint scanners/ eye scanners that only sets its node to active if the person is on its list.

i fully support the fingerprint scanner idea, but unless you can protect the tiles it will be useless, anyone can disconnect it from the door with the wiring tool

Well Person ID Scanner would be very helpful.

well of course it had to be implemented right, so it can't be bypassed that easy

Basicly this would be cool but only functional with a player placeable shield generator like the ones found in larger dungeons.

barring stealing directly from house materials, this could be useful if applied to chests themselves. if a lock/key/scanner/whatever mechanism existed that applied to chests and protected the blocks directly beneath the chests, that could be an effective way to stop theft.

...which is problematic because you could literally lock a player in a room they couldn't escape from, if you could place shield generators.

Yes but why not, let people do it if they want to. An easy work around for this would be an item that lets you one way teleport to your ship, which maybe can be crafted or so. And until then people just have to trust and communicate with other players. I mean thats the way what a multiplayer game should be like.

Sure, trust each other, but we're talking about effectively being able to delete someone's character. You're right that some sort of warp home mechanic would be an easy workaround, but they've intentionally put barriers to access such tech, what with teleporters needing port cores, 3k pixels, and to be recrafted if they're destroyed. I'm sure the devs will come up with a way to have some sort of shield generator tech placeable, but I can definitely see why it's not in place right now.

...Actually, you might be spot on with the one way teleport. If the player was ALWAYS able to warp straight home when in the radius of a shield generator, then you wouldn't be able to trap them. Good idea!

Thanks :D. well i wanted to be a game developer myself , sooo here are my free ideas :D
I made some other suggestion too and commented on others suggestions which i found good too :)

If you get locked by some as***le, it would be not the end of the char.
You lose 1/3 of your pixels when you die. Why not a emergency teleport button that costs exactly that. Or more simple, when hunger gets back to the game, just wait for the char to starve.

You could get locked in with no way to suicide, teleport home, or anything. At the moment, it would be possible to lock someone in and hold them there forever.

But building insane traps rooms to protect your stuff is half the fun.
Keys would be nice for those who want to build dungeons though.

You spoke right: "At the moment"
It is all resolved when hunger comes back to the game. Plain and simple.
