Don't pollute the Linux home folder

    It's a bit of a no-no and against standards on Linux to populate the users /home folder with anything, there's better places for it. Please don't pollute our home directory :)

      Yes, I was very annoyed to see that. Thanks for bringing it up, didn't notice it right away.

      Edit: To be more helpful than just complaining, I recommend placing the directory in ~/.local/share.

          It was a default used by the Steam cloud. What does everyone prefer?

            ~/.local/share would be fine as Bromine suggested, otherwise, most other games use ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common (looks like you already have workspace there, so that would be the logical choice from my perspective.)

              I would prefer to keep with ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common It keeps all my games in the same place. :)

                Yup, thats where the log file folder should be made, not directly in the home folder. Sorry I should have said, tired and ill atm.
