Does NPC's Respawn?

I've accidentally killed an important merchant who sell guns on the avian ship. I'm just wondering if there is anyway to respawn the merchants or any other way of getting guns?

 

They're planning or have already seeded quadrillions of planets. Statistically speaking, I feel pretty safe saying there are hundreds of millions of planets with an NPC gun seller, just keep looking.

That said, to answer your original question, I do not believe NPCs respawn, but have limited evidence either way.

 

Nope. NPC death is permanent. Time to start hunting for another gun merchant.

 

As others have stated, any NPC you kill is gone for good so be careful. This goes for NPCs that are selling clothes/food/weapons, NPCs that are just standing in houses, NPCs that are in dungeons, etc. Seems like the only thing that respawn are normal monsters. If you want to find another merchant that is selling guns, just go search for an Avian ship on other planets.

 

Unfortunately, they never respawn. I actually would prefer that they do eventually, if you leave the planet... but that currently is not the case. Sorry man, you'll need to check some more grassland planets or something. :/
