Do you think the game can not be launched this year?

I am always a bit muddled when it comes to people saying Q1 or Q2, since the Fiscal year doesn't generally run it's quarters from Jan-Dec then start over. And each country has it's own way of doing it's Fiscal year that m akes paper work a bit easier, I believe the US Government's Fiscal year this year is broken up as such:

• 1st quarter: 1 October 2012 – 31 December 2012
• 2nd quarter: 1 January 2013 – 31 March 2013
• 3rd quarter: 1 April 2013 – 30 June 2013
• 4th quarter: 1 July 2013 – 30 September 2013

As such, I've never been a fan of people or companies who use Q1, since to different people in can mean different things. But that's just me reading way to much into something that's extremely simple. (Because I have a bad habit of doing that.)

All that BS being spewed, I'm hoping the game is released before Autumn (In the USA) hits, as it stands, alot of people I told about the game last year have already drifted away and just shrug when I bring it up. To many of us have seen games get forgotten or pushed off for months or even years. I don't think Starbound will be forgotten or pushed back that far, I'm just hoping that it doesn't get pushed back to much, as I'm afraid they may lose some of their initial following.

Yeah, same here. Too many good looking games died like this. I just hope they won't pushing release date even more...

 

And why would you say that? In recent IRC conversations, namely the one surrounding the spaceships, Tiy stated that only the Human ship was implemented at the time, and that they still have to work on the other race's ships.

 

That's true. I meant they had implemented the bulk of the features, and are now finishing them off. I said it because they are not really accepting new ideas until post-release, since they have so much on their plate. I stand corrected .

I think the beta of starboundo will come in march and Tiy was working in the game for 1 year. Soon they will come with the gam

Due to monetary concerns, I'm fairly certain they WILL launch it this year. They have to eat, you know.

 

Its pretty quiet about release/beta now, maybe they want to surprise us in first newsletter?
