Do you find Starbound relaxing?

The simple artstyle, the adventure, the large variety of planets to explore.. Building, decorating your ship, experimenting.. And so much more. Starbound just feels so relaxing for some reason. Don't you agree? I just find myself so lost in the gameplay. When it comes to building, I'm not looking only for the practical, I'm looking to do what feels and looks good enough.

Have to do more experiments, eventually.

 

Much like Minecraft, with its weird, trance-like music. There isn't that sort of survivalist feel in Starbound, but when you're exploring Alpha planets with impervium armor, looking in caves with a flashlight,

Yes, very relaxing. I love exploring new planets and finding what treasures they hold. Oh and mining, I really do like mining, especially in sand or gravel and going as deep as I can.

It gets me away from the high tempo, more demanding games. If I want to explore at my leisure and just kill random enemies without throwing my controller (I play through a PS3 controller) I relax with Starbound. The mining and digging deep into planets is a lot of fun.

 

Not at all, the tune mellows you out until BAM! 5 Monsters and fast paced boss music that makes you jump out of your skin!

 

not when you have birds around you.
neither when you try to relax a bit while exploring a planet and then get random bullets in your face.

 

The music sounds amazing when reversed.

Yes, just had my base destroyed by huge meteors. Scary but amazing to watch.

 

Yes, generally I find starbound to be very relaxing.

 

Yes, it's truly a breath of fresh air. It goes through very calm. Actually kind of ironic considering I use a Floran character. Helps to have a chair in my campsite (yes, campsite, not house. No calling me IronFistSurvivor without a nice survivalist feel.) to keep the hunger from turning up... Sure wish I could play instruments while sitting down... Other than that, pretty nice to play after a round of TF2 or something. So calming

 

I love the music, it helps a lot.
