Being designed for it, ausleir follows through with the motion, but the dagger ends up slipping out of his own hand, disarming the two of them...
"Well... Shall we go straight to fisticuffs or try this again?"

 

For a while, the path is empty and fairly boring, but shortly Nezun's footing runs out, she almost trips over the side of a dark chasm, as well as a dark, open emptiness ahead.
The group behind them ask what's going on.

"Ah well, Spike.. Hi. Umm.. Would you like to come to the safer districts with me? For now it's basically a race.. I didn't think I could do it on my own but if you're willing.." He trails off.

Dorothy waves at you, and Hilary grunts, letting herself down from Karas and sliding down the wall. Rory grabs a roll of nano wraps and reapplies Hilaire bandages, and Dorothy sits next to you. 'What happened to you?'

You slowly feel the grip of gravity again, and are pulled out of your dreams, the world coming into focus through your half glazed eyes. You seem to be in a makeshift hospital, and are swaddled in blankets, a respirator pumping next to you, as well as an IV drip.

 

"Heh. I got shot in the legs and arm. Nothin' too bad. Anythin' happen when I was gone?"

 

'Nothin' much, just seems like the world has gone to hell and the city is being bombed, not too much.'

 

"Not good to hear... I bet the other side of the pass won't be too much better than what's goin' on here, but I don't see too much of a choice."

Ausleir licks his blood coated palms with a smile...
"Well... You beat me... Shall we be on our ways then?"

'I do, kid,' Kato steps away from the wall. 'We don't kill you, you don't waste our time, sounds like a win win. I'm certain you have plenty of other targets to kill.'

 

'Anything better than this side, even if it's just rubble.'

" you saw how quick i disarmed your buddy. so now you want to die too?"
he thinks of spiderbreath, who he dropped on ausliers back (you saw where i did that, right?)

'He was foolish, I am not. Though I don't prefer open combat, I am still proficient in it. Do you care to try your luck?' He stands at the ready, baton held loosely in his right hand, with his left side facing Sortil.

 

Hookbeak thinks for a moment before responding. "Do you know what we should do once we get movin' again?"

he flips his knife around one finger, letting it weave through his fingers, and then it is just in a normal position again

'Probably find somewhere to hole up and luck our wounds, you two need to heal up.' She looks at Hilary.

Your shot blows through the left side of his head, sending skull fragments and bits of skin flying. By some miracle, it doesn't pierce his brain, but it instead ricochets off of his skull. He stands there stunned with his mouth hanging open, twitching slightly.
