They slowly advance, their faces full of anger and worry. You here smattering from the crowd. "I had family there..." "What's happening?" A baby is crying in one of the houses.

They look at you for a moment, then keep walking.

The only thing he can see is the dark thing seeping into the cracks in the floor, revealing the tracks again. The tunnel is silent. Danielle is panting slightly, looking frightened.

 

"Whatever that was, that was no umbrahulk... Is there no other route?"

 

'There are, but they are all longer, and I don't want to be here any longer than I have to.' She looks around warily. She pulls the blade out, and it goes to the Saber length again.

"If that's what I think it is, then that hallway might as well be a giant stomach... If it isn't what I think it is, I'm still not sure if it's worth risking it anyway... We may have to take one of the longer routes whether we like it or not..."

 

The two drop the food and turn to Sortil, "think you're so tough big guy?"
One of them takes a switchblade out.

"Usually money, status, that sort of thing. Considering THAT just happened," Hilary gestures at the Fort to the north. "I think it'll take a God's help to get us through a checkpoint the normal way."

Johnny and Jerry keep to the sides of the corridor as they walk the only path.
The further they go the corridor becomes more well built, white tiles begin appearing and eventually form a path.

"Is the whole border under guard?"

 

"Not normally, but that's because each district's borders have a 15 foot fence with razor wire on top. Not to mention they're electrocuted. In the city districts there's a whole lot less I hear." Hilary's voice more quiet, but still shaky.

 

Tekari follows them silently, trying to figure out where they're going.

'There's an off shoot tunnel we might be able to use to get around it, but it's not mapped out.'

 

They just keep walking the road, muttering something under their breath. Thanks to your hearing, you can just barely make it out... "...why did... innocent... just a..."

 

"Do you think it might be possible to break through one o' those, with some sort of bomb or somethin' to knock it down?" Hookbeak asks. "I an't got no other ideas if we can't."

Danger looks around at the much more well built walls of the tunnel as they continue "Danger wonder why thisss place built like thisss" She says out loud

 

"You okay?"

 

'Ok, it's back a little way.' She leads him back about a hundred meters and behind one of the decrepit train cars. There was an ornate entrance, looking almost like a Roman arch, looking very out of place. 'Here it is.'

He doesn't acknowledge you in any way, seems that he is shell shocked or something. You see movement out of the corner of your eye.

 

The area is clear, the sound of the pop made it sound like it came from the War Room.

"We could try that, I could stop by the shop really quick," Hilary adds.

The other one makes a stab at Sortil, slightly cutting his chest.

Her voice echoes down the path.
"Who knows..." Johnny stays a little more quiet.
