Xael nodded. "Yea, these 'sewers' look nothing like the ones I've seen..." she said quietly, "the look almost like dug-out tunnels."
She clutches the map, leaping forwards away from the blackness. As you jump over the dge, it snaps closed, almost bringing your foot with it. As it is, it knocks you to your feet. You hear some slithering behind you.
'First we talk, if they are resistant, then we shoot.' He opens the hatch, nodding for you to step out.
Jerry pauses.. "Umm no, no this isn't.. Weird." Jerry turns to Xoch, curious, "have you ever seen anything like this?" Johnny stomps his foot on the ground.. Stomping around the corridor left to right. Josh picks up his pace as he sees a few civilians getting restless, he pulls out his baton and threatens the citizens to calm down. "Nuh-uh." She shakes her head, looking further away from the destruction. "Hey maybe she just can't handle the situation.." Hilary adds. "Oh.. Um yeah, the X's and O's used the two factories in this district for very different purposes.." She says, distracted by Dorothy somewhat.
@Cup o' Tea No answer. You see someone walking down the street, carrying someone else on their shoulder. They are slumped over defeated.
Zephyr nodded and stepped out, looking out at the crowd of people, her gun resting by her side. Xael raised an eyebrow. "Johnny what are you doing now," she asked, hand on her hip.
He sighs. "You're right.... I'm sorry. Just... a little on edge, I guess." Of course, he doesn't believe that for a moment, but he's supposed to be the empathetic guy around here. "I think we ought to find somewhere else to stay," he suggests, looking back at the pile of rubble that used to be a house.
"I'm testing the ground, to see if this was even a sewer in the first place.. It's a little softer in the middle, which suggests it was renovated in a way so Jerry wasn't wrong," Johnny says as he scrapes some dirt off the tiling to the side. Jerry smiles at Johnny's comment. "I suggest we keep going, it can't be much worse than up there, sooner rather than later guns are gonna turn everywhere." Johnny answers. "At this point it might turn to more of a survival situation than just keeping a roof over our heads." Hilary adds. Dorothy smiles as she stares at the ground, of course her smile being out of sight from the others. There's already a few people fighting. What they're fighting over seems to be a bag of food, which should be expected around these parts on any given day.
"Well, is there anywhere with shelter that's farther from the fire? I think our best choice right now is to get farther away from the danger and try to find out what exactly is goin' on."
Xael nodded and started to walk down one of the tunnels. "This seems to go in the right direction," she said, turning to look at the group.
Danger nods "Where Johnny want to head from here?" She starts to look around at the different tunnels
He tugs her along and helps her to her own feet, putting plenty of distance between them and the thing before looking back...
"I don't know, I'm not su-" Johnny is cut off. "Well that solves that," Johnny follows, shrugging. "Not sure, we could try the district opposite to it but I'm not liking the chances that we get through the checkpoint.. Legally at least," Hilary replies, rubbing her temple. The civilian on the right stops, "provisions? It's food, and no you don't even need it, jack off." The two take an angry tone to Sortil as they are probably stressed out. Or just dicks.
