It appears to be a torch holder, with a torch still in place, although unlit it could be useful for around an hour. An isolated POP can be heard from the room the two are in, the soldiers panic. "Believe me I understand that rule more than you think," Josh stands still as a statue. "So are you gonna be a good little serial killer so I can deal with the whole situation where people are panicking?" The light blue Avian stands strong with a slightly thin but relatively athletic build and a height of around 5'8" His tuft is now very messy, but oddly fitting for him as opposed to his normal flow back. His police uniform is again very untidy, his bulletproof vest puffs his shirt out a little bit and contrary to this his gun harness and holster tightens his pants, his collar is popped up for whatever reason. He looks like he's normally organized but rushed himself recently to get prepared.
Danger takes the torch from it's holder and brings it to Jerry "Danger find light ssstick" She tells him
"That's good! But we should probably make sure the light stick works first," Jerry says, scratching his chin.
Xael squinted, and then blinked a few times. "Let me go ahead, in a few seconds I'll be able to see perfectly," she said, "I guess my, attribute, will come in handy here." Xael then proceeded to drag the shadows into shapes. "If we get ambushed I can use the shadows to hide us all."
(Oh right I forgot about this totally piece of shit skill damn) Johnny makes a noise resembling agreement, making some kind of indecipherable hand gesture along with it. Jerry looks to Johnny, "you got anything?" "Yeah why doesn't everyone go to the living Swiss Army knife first." Johnny replies with sass, he snaps his fingers and a small lighter flame appears to be coming out of Johnny's thumb, he lights the torch eager to see the mess of these sewers.
Xael laughed lightly. "Anyway, light is good and all but we should keep going," she said, "you never know what might be down here."
Danger takes the torch back and makes sure to be careful not to burn herself "Thanksss for help Johnny" She says to him "Yesss, we ssshould keep going" Danger agrees
"Oh but how different a man is from the people they walk with," he stares down Sortil, taking a deep breath and lowering his weapon. "Listen I'd really rather not kill someone today." The corridor lights up and the tunnels are very clearly not at all sewers.. "Looks like you might be right then." Johnny says softly as his voice patters down the path. Jerry smiles at Danger and follows the group.
-sortil "I can tell from the look in your eyes. now if you excuse me, I have some rare goods to sell" he walks towards the city
Hookbeak turns back to the others. "Seems like the place just got attacked... do ye' mates know any attackers strong enough to do this?" he asks.
"Good luck then." Josh walks the same direction, while keeping a good distance as well. Dorothy keeps her mouth shut. Hilary speaks up however, "the gangs of the slums collectively own that fort, they could be retaliating from the drug op being blown to bits."
Xoch remembers his flashlight in his jackets pocket, but doesn't say anything as Johnny and Danger have the torch handled. Xoch nods and follows.
-sortil sortil keeps walking. the pistol is already out of ammo, but he does not dare let his adversary know
