He is already geared up. 'Right now, let's move it!' He heads to the car, waving the rest of the soldiers out. One of the trucks moves out, fully loaded with men.
Zephyr headed off after him, getting into the car once she reaches it. She sits down in her seat and inspects her grenades, knives, and the few guns she has on her.
They all appear to be in working order, same as the knife she picked up earlier. Dan guns the truck out of the garage. From the hill, she has a great view of the city burning in front of her, many of the buildings reduced to rubble.
'I think I'm more likely to contract a disease than you are.' She says lightly. Danielle steps forward into of the sewer area into the tunnel, except it seems... different, somehow. 'Our path is left, looks like this subway tunnel take us a lot of the way.'
Spiderbreath thinks for a moment before taking a turn that clearly wasn't on the original path down, but Spiderbreath's instincts seem to be right when the two find themselves a the feet of a giant steel gate, past the gate, in the distance is a foggy light. The artillery fire continues, the building Tekari's on takes a few shots but it's strong skeleton holds true, for now. "We should maaaybe see what plans everyone else has.." Jerry gives Danger a confused and terrified look. Hilary hastily follows after Hookbeak, waiting at the doorway for Karas and Dorothy, she looks over her shoulder to Hookbeak. "What's going on out there?" She asks. Hookbeak's eyes take a moment to get adjusted to the popping light of the shells being fired, and his mind to wrap around the burning city nearby. Dorothy appears to be awake, but confused and sleepy, she slaps around on the ground near her as if an alarm clock was there. (Another district is being bombed, not this one, and it's not napalm. Not yet at least) "Well none of us are really a local, maybe someone knows of some kind of shelter we could hunker down in?" Johnny questions. "Yeah, the really good stuff, maybe this is happening again? Let's make sure things are safe," Perry pokes his head out the door, looking down the street both ways. He pulls his head back in, "people are definitely confused and panicking, if the panic turns to riot then we might want to stay away from stores.." "Awwww my home!" Camilla adds. Jerry pats Xoch on the shoulder, trying to offer some kind of encouragement when he can't muster any words of his own. Kently closes his holopad, turning to Spike, "Spike.." He pauses in confusion. "Why are you.. ? Oh whatever, we need to make sure a few special operatives inside the city don't get hurt, you think you can get the message across?" Without telling Spike where the soldiers are supposed to not blow up Kently walks away. He heads into the war room, keeping to himself.
Jerry replies with a soft, but worry-riddled smile as the group attempts to conceive ideas on how to deal with this.
Hookbeak stares at the giant fire in the distance, slightly terrified and confused as to how or why it's there. "...A big fire's out 'ere. It's burnin' down the whole town." he tells Hilary.
'This way then.' She smiles at him, walking down the tracks. 'How did someone like you get to a dump of a city like this?'
"I'm here to try and bring economic stability to slums like this... Believe it or not, I lived in a city like this... The gang ridden slums were my home... And still are really... The only problem with it was the fact that the only thing worse than the many criminals and disease, was the authority..."
It looks like there is one on the far side of the building. The building shakes a little, pieces falling off in the floors below.
'Funny, that's the same thing here. I've just been moving from slum planet to slum planet, this one is the first place that I've found something to fight for on.'
