"gimme that knife. this thing's feathers will fetch a fortune!"

 

Spiderbreath hops down from the canopy, in mid fall he whips the blade near Sortil, the knife cuts clean through the beast's wing and gets lodged in the ground.
Spiderbreath then shakes his head as if that totally wasn't supposed to happen.

Kently, almost falling asleep, shakes his head to wake up, "let's be honest the mission's either done or it's not getting completed in time, so run down the tower and tell everyone to fire. Either that or you could take the honours of announcing it on the speakers. Then again I could do it, if you're too much of a wussy," Kently says teasingly.
"Don't worry this war should be easy," he adds.

 

"T-thanksss, Danger like it too" She replies back, happy to hear Jerry likes it as well
She puts the dagger back on her belt and heads inside

he begins shaving off feathers

 

"So did I but you don't see me whining," she called back, following him into HQ, "also, anyone older than me is an old man so ha."

 

He quickens his pace and stomps on his shin...

 

His shin crunches as well, and he cries out, curling up into a ball holding his shattered leg.

 

"ATTACK!" repeats Spike like a broken record as he pumps himself up for battle "Some killing going to be done"

 

"I'm sorry... I'll make it swift..."
He takes his dagger and drives it downwards into his skull...

 

His shouted, 'NOO-' is cut off by your swift strike, and he slumps to the ground. Your walkie talkie starts going off in your bag.

 

He pulls out his walkie talkie and puts it to his ear... "Danielle, how's your situation holding out?"
As he is talking, he goes about the room stabbing out the eyeballs of each of the victims, and smashing the hard drives of any glitch.

 

'Not Danielle, it's Kato.' The Hylotyl sounds worried. 'They are about to start the bombardment, are you out of there yet?'

 

he goes over to the door and opens it with the keycard.
"The job's done. Can you buy us five minutes to get out?"

 

The soldiers all stumble to fire their cannons and assorted artillery, booms of the cannons can be heard dozens of districts over, the ground shakes with the pounding force of shells and explosives ripping through the air, the sounds of the fort has been turned to nothing but booms and whistling projectiles.

@Garbacca Back at the HQ where all of his friends now are, Xoch hears several booms tear through the air, and screeching sounds in the distance, every object in the house that isn't nailed down vibrates.

@FactoringZettaShonic His new friends Camilla and Perry, along with the recently met Gilden all panic as the sky is ripped apart by loud booms and vibrations that move his flesh to a rhythm of terrifying sound.

Jerry looks like he's just about to say something when a boom is heard in the distance, then several more heavy booms ripping through the sky, the windows shake in their sills and the floorboards rattle, the booming becomes continuous.

Johnny takes a step inside the HQ and tumbles to the ground, startled by the booms, just off in the distance, something of an eye sore, the nearby abandoned fort is billowing with smoke as it reigns shells and fire down on the city nearby.

@Miss Alkane As the group settles down to go to sleep the ground begins vibrating, a boom can be hear in the distance, then several, then more and more, the ground begins shaking, Hilary jolts out of her spot, the house sways from side to side, the brick walls have deteriorated over time and look like they're about to tip over like a stack of dominoes.

The ground shakes as Sortil holds the first feather, no matter how deep in the ground he is, there's certainly something happening above ground.

@StretchDelta Gilden and his friends are startled by the next wave of booming sounds and vibrations, this time it's more repetitive, longer, and certainly louder.

@Cup o' Tea Tekari, just as he begins his descent, his ship is hit by a shell, taking out the back half of his vehicle, sending him spiraling towards the roof of a nearby building.

 

'I'll see what I can do. For now, get to the underground, you should be protected there.' Danielle is waiting at the bottom of the stairs, the man from before has a slit throat. 'He tried to get away.' She explained.

Kently's holopad starts buzzing.

"Well, better finish this up so i can get in on the action then..."
he continues slicing the feathers off, taking off his bedsheet robe, the thing looking like julius caesar's toga when he was assassinated with all the sword holes in it, and stuffs it with feathers, along with the talons of the bird

 

"What the hell?!" Tekari yells, holding onto the console of his ship as it is sent hurtling towards the buildings below

 

Kently hardly notices the buzz through all the cannon fire, with a finger in his ear he takes his holopad off his belt and opens it up. "Yellow?" He begins with, shouting over the artillery.

Spiderbreath looks confused, and gently crawls up Sortil's back until he is on Sortil's shoulder, the feathers are surprisingly light despite the fact that they're very resilient.

The back of his ship is completely ripped off from the turbulence, only the cockpit and some other parts of his ship remain intact as he spins through the air.

"Well, surface time. care to lead the way?"

 

Spiderbreath nods, jumps off of Sortil's shoulder and begins retracing their steps, the long way uphill to the surface, this time around, oddly enough it's more obvious that the path Sortil took had been downhill, leading him deeper and deeper into the caverns.
