A friend and I have decided to make a full conversion for the game, and we decided that step one was to get rid of the Manipulator in favor of less advanced tools to start out with. The problem is, it's not so simple as removing the MM from the ship locker anymore. The MM seems to be integrated with the player, and while the intro mission proves that it's possible for it to be disabled, nowhere can either of us find a way to make that happen. To be clear, we're trying to completely remove the manipulator from the game. If anyone has tips on where to look, or better, a tutorial on how to accomplish this, please let me know.
