This would be a monster that looked like a small hill, or just a weird patch of dirt. He'd blend into the world he was from, but stick at out least a little in hue. On it's back is a tree with which he shares a symbiotic relationship. Occasionally he'd poke his head out to look for danger. But mostly he is very docile. But if you so much as look at his tree the wrong way with an axe or any other cutting or pruning element, only heaven can save you. He will chase you to the ends of his world. Obviously you can escape and come back when he has a cooler head, but good look escaping a living hillside...
