its confirmed that you can run entirely round the planet and not hit any invisi walls so i doubt you would hit a wall in the center.... unless all planets have a hollow sphere

"Yo dawg, i hear you like digging, so put a digging IN your digging inside a planet"
More or less meaning that you might have to mine extremely carefully as you might encounter pockets of hazardous materials and such.

i think that there might be a way to dig all the way through a planet or something but who knows

    Depends on the planet...

    Here's my idea:
If you dig too deep gravity will start crushing you. You're hp will go down with the speed depending on how deep you are.
The best treasures/ores etc will be found at the deepest reaches of the planet, where you will be constantly damaged by gravity.
If you dig way too deep, somewhere near the core, you will die instantly, your bones will be crushed, blood cells burst, and a fountain of brains will explode out of your head.
    Yay for real science.

Most likely the planets will be realistic and have something like the core of the earth that lava flows out of and it will flow out like a volcano.

Planets do not necessarily have lava flowing in the middle of it. Earth is the only planet in our solar system that contains lava right now.

However some planets have at least dangerous G forces or heat from their gravitation.

    Yep. But still no lava.

Yes that is true, but just imagine a moon like IO and digging to the center!

I like the idea of gravity playing a part, maybe to go deep you would have to make a gravity suit and have it as an accessory item, and for new players you would get a warning like " the force of gravity presses down on you, turning back would be a good idea" I'd like to see a tutorial in this game that explains basic crafting this gravity idea basic colonys, that's what I feel terraria and mc both need then from there a wiki could be used to help more advanced needs

it would be nice if you could "freeze" all the lava inside the planet and destroy it. also die under pressure is also a good way for not digging to deep and you need to upgrade your digging suit! or maybe even build a mecha to travel further down to fight the evils or even extract valuables from the core of the planet!

Why not just get to the center? Some planets might be too hazardous for one reason or another, but in the end you should be able to hit the center. maybe a loss of gravitational pull, and then if you manage to dig out one way or another, say a certain amount of blocks, your orientation changes from where you were to the relative position of the surface where you currently are.

Or maybe they will be occupied by giant crustacean scientists who spew lava from their orifices and drink champagne. Either way, my dreams will come true...

    yes.... they will

It would be nice if it just kept procedurally generating more of the last level of biome (IE: Lava) and you could essentially dig until you ran out of memory. But, coming out the other side of the planet would be sweet.

So, let's say that the "dig to china" thing is chosen... Doesn't that mean that if you dug clean thru to the other side and then jumped back into the hole you dug that you would fall forever? Meaning, when you jump in, you fall towards the center, then back out the other side where you will proceed to fall back towards the center again? Perhaps I'm over-thinking this.

    w
why would you fall to center if that happened then? you cant fall out fromt the center. gravitational pull to center of mass :p

In the wise words of Gandalf,
In conclusion, it's a good idea not too go too deep.
