Different Races Speculation Thread

I want Catgirls.
No seriously: I would like to see some race like the taurens from WoW.

 

Why not? Cat-like races aren't that bad of an idea.
Besides that, there has to be a dark, lonesome, doomy, shadow-like class! Maybe a necromancer.
If that's not a race, I'll go with fishmen, they could breath underwater, and they have fins, and shark theeth...

Hmmm, races? Yes yes quite. A snake-man, skeleton-like automaton, penguin-man all sound good!

A class I want to play as is a commando, which would be perfect for a sneaky snake!

This is Startbound and should be an unique game and not some Patchwork game with thousands of ideas from us Forum Members stolen from other games or books -.- srsly come up with something new or alike but not copy and paste please

What would REALLY be amazing would be a 'Toast-people' race. Then one could pretend to be POWDERED TOAST MAN!

 

I want creatures that look like the crystal aliens from the Crystal Skull. Or the Water snake type creature from the abyss.

 

Bwhahahaha, I remember that show... unfortunately.

Anyway, if we're going purely cosmetic at this point, I hope there's fox people, rabbit people, wolf people, cat people, deer people, bear people, raccoon people, horse people and... you get the idea.
I'm also hoping there's the option to play as a gray (those 1950's aliens,) humanoid giants (like maybe a head and a half taller then the regular models,) and maybe a heavily cybernetic race.
As for traits... I'm still against them to be honest. Maybe if there was a pro/con system where you could be faster but more fragile, I'd be more accepting but given that it doesn't look like the game has a lot of stats at this point, what can you really modify without giving someone a potentially unfair advantage in multiplayer?
