All I seem to do is die because there are no healing options early game, just sayin'. In minecraft if your hunger bar is full you regenerate, I assume the same should be implemented.

 

Actually you can make bandages, and they are very easy to make, I will get you the exact things you need after I get my game updated.

You need those vine things and a Loom to make cloth, and cloth to make bandages. (Can be done with just craft button)

Can get 100's in a short amount of time and they heal a lot.

Edit: Actually, the things are really easy to craft... I don't need to say what it takes.

 

Bandags can be crafted early game. You just need a yarn spinner and some plant fiber which is easy to obtain.

 

There's like 50 threads claiming there no healing options but they are there right from the getgo. I crafted like 50 badges within 30 minutes of character creation.

 

They neglected to tell you about them in the tutorial. Likely something they will change in latter patches.

If you happen to find a Tent/Bed/Interrogation Table/etc., use the Matter Manipulator to pick one up. It's always safe to have one in your inventory in case you run out of Bandages. Just dig down underground a bit, place the sleeping furniture, drop a couple of torches, and wall yourself in.
