Floating place? [emoji15] What do you need in order to do that?[emoji7]

You just build platforms/blocks/background high up into the sky and start building.

Well just to throw out some ideas: I just gave up finding "the coolest" planet and decided to make small bases in different places, depending on the planet resources. I have a "winter cottage" and a "tropical farm" already YAY
what else do you guys think I should get? The only rule is: it's got to have a fancy name like the other ones

I'm going to build one. At some point. To make grilled sausages.

I tend to just build on the first planet... My homeworld isn't much more than a cluster of homes with farms along with a mine. My two other colonies are limited miningn colonies with a rudimentary mine and a guard... I need to improve the lives of my people I think.

I have a starship, why would I want to settle on a planet? Aside from farming, I don't see the need...

Picked out an Ocean world ages ago, as I tend to gravitate toward them. Decent rainfall's good for growing crops at this stage, I like coconuts, and more often than not I actually like the whole endless ocean backdrop. Plus the ocean floor is actually pretty now. Though every time I settle down on one, the resulting base just gets more and more massive. First time I settled for a couple wood houses on an island, then I replaced an island with a tower, now I'm building a massive structure that stretches from the bottom/side of an island all the way down to the ocean floor.

I used to have an erchius research facility on an ocean planet, complete with a crystal tank suspended in erchius liquid, storage facilities, communications array and lab technicians.

I also had an entire colony on a tundra planet called Silverton because of all the resources underground. It was a settlement blocked off by huge pillars of ice. The settlement surrounds a silver tower, complete with a graveyard to honor the original occupants. There is a glitch castle to the north at the base of a highland mountain range and to the far south lives a floran who grows crops for the settlement. The inhabitants at Silverton are constantly under threat of being attacked by the Glitch king, good thing the settlement was well hidden. The only way to get in and out of Silverton is through a network of underground caves.
