Did you get a planet to call your home already?

Or are living like a space-gypsy like me? What criteria did you use when choosing?

 

Nope, still looking for my personal Number One.
Still I've colonized one planet so far. Built a nice frontier-style fort on a jungle hill. Main criterias were normal soil color (not pink or purple or acid green or any other looney) & nice mobs in the neighborhood (Imma huge poptops fan).

 

Technicly i have eight. all of them act as storage/crafting stations, where my toon sleeps i guess is on my ship or in one of the tents on the mini storage/crafting forts

 

I have a few colonies (mostly converted underground USCM bunkers) but my "home" planet is desert with a large underground ocean. I took over an Apex city, stripped all of Big Ape's propaganda, fought off the loyalists, then converted it into a modern town from centered on a large arcade/bar. I've been slowly expanding the city with more frivolous industries, just to spite The Ape and his cronies.

 

Still looking for my friendly koala planet, so I haven't just yet found what I would call home.

 

my Unstable character has a pretty sweet base at the bottom of the ocean that was built with the various furniture from the Erchius Base mission. It's not that big but it has everything i need and it connects to the caves down there.

 

I tried to build a tower to house loads of NPCs, but then I realised that they can't navigate elevators and so I destroyed the whole thing...

 

Well... I do have a space station far above the surface of a lava ocean planet. Does that count?

(Not in a astroid field, its on the planet just so far up that it changes to the space backdrop).

 

first planet I have arrived was perfect to Build huge farm colony for my fruits and Vegables, Second Colony Is on Ocean planet, Nice Village just for economic purpose, last one is on Vulcano Planet made out outpost Blocks from Colder Worlds
also for economic purposes, Rare weaponry and Nanowrap Bandage

I used to have a home planet, it was nice... kinda flat, a couple caves close enought, and a beautiful constant rain! I build a tower, half buried which then became an underground apartment, it had a nice lab, smithery, a saloon (mostly stolen glitch furniture, there was no novakid fancines back then), a couple other things and gimmicks that I cant remember that well... oh right, I also build an underground library with a chimney and a well at the end of it, leading further into the underground. an update took it away from me, so now I live on my ship, dreaming of the day I can find a planet to rebuild my tower and underground home

 

Determined. I hope to find the perfect planet to settle.

Solace. I think i'm fine staying in my ship. Live-in chef included.

 

Not yet, it's damn hard finding 4000 diameter lush planets, them having brown dort, green grass, blue sky and a yellow sun + hills in the background.

I start to wonder again how the sky color is determined, in the past it was said surrounding stars determine this but I have yet not found any pattern for this.

 

I'm trying to find a desert planet with an oasis mini-biome. I really want it to be near a cluster of planets or a gas giant so i can make it look like you can see the planet in the background. I want to grow metal trees all around and just make a medival/modern city.

 

my starter planet always ends up as my home world as i dont like to abandon coloneys i build so i just add on and upgrade

 

No home planet yet, but I did decide on a home star system. I've gonna be occupying the Australis Expanse, the closest you can get to 0,0 on the star chart (its actual location is -1, -6).

I'm hoping someday they'll put something in the 0,0 coordinates. How cool would it be if they add an Ancient stellar scale megastructures?

Anyways, I'm halfway tempted to find a Magma planet with no destructive weather to build a base on. It'll be extremely hazardous, but with what I have in mind I won't have to bother with lighting.

 

OH, building a Colony on Magma ocean planet that quiet intersting, I was planning once build Kind of sea olie platform Colony and build a tube to bottom there Magma planets are Rich of ore's and daimonds below sea of magma

I've built a nice place at the bottom of an ocean planet, think i'll stay there.
i had another base on top of a moon because i like the scenery/gravity but METEORS WHY I THOUGHT THEY REMOVED YOU so now it's deep underground and it's getting deeper every day

someday i'm gonna build a house in the sky...or maybe an island in a liquid erchius sea.
