Did they ever fix the issue with snow building up?

As in, you build a massive, elaborate ice palace with no holes in it whatsoever, and then walk off for a little while and return to find the entire floor of your new base covered in snow for no logical reason. (I'm guessing dynamic loading is to blame.)

I haven't played since version Pleased Giraffe (mostly because of balance issues making the game significantly harder) and I don't really feel like booting the game up and struggling through a new file just to find out the answer to this one question. Snow worlds are my favorites, but the snow building up INSIDE my base is just getting on my nerves. lol

I thought I saw a mod somewhere long ago that stopped snow from building up, but meh. Can't seem to find it now. I guess because it's outdated as heck.
