Did the steel recipe change in the recent update?

So I havent played the new update yet, and the changelog are rather vague to be quite honest... So I checked a bit the forums and stumbled upon someone saying that in one of the nightly the steel recipe changed... to copper + iron...

Does this apply for the current unstable?

If so let me know please...

I would be very... dissappointed to say the least if that happened... Iron + Oil made more sense then since oil contains atleast carbon in compounds...

 

Ugh... I find that recipe obscure... hopefully its just temporary... coal + steel made sense... or they could change the name of iron to something else since the game is full of fictional metals. Thanks for letting me know,

They could also rename steel to something else.

 

Obscure? That's... one way to describe that recipe. Illogical is another. Streamlined is also valid, considering how it drastically decreases the amount of time necessary to get to tier 2... you're pretty much set on ores by the time you finish main quest or two. No telling if it's a testing change or if it's permanent, but here's hoping it's solely for testing.
