did the pirate ship explode :( ??

im on a planet with a pirate ship and i was just walking over to it when i see half the crew fall out of the sky and surround me

hahaha that's epic. To answer your question it's likely the ship got hit with an meteor

 

nope when i got to it it was in 1 piece was even more crew mates than normal and i have no idea how they got in the sky above me .-. and was no meteor or anythign over it although now i just crafted a beacon i wonder how this boss fight will turn out cuz im summoning it from inside the ship

 

oh wow ship got hit and they arent dead?

another possibility is flying mobs knocked them off the ship =P

 

ok i dont feel safe with my weapon out now in the field cuz they is spread out now and seem to get angry when im just planting trees with my war hammer equipped

 

They must have been smuggling aphrodisiacs then and took a taste of the goods >~>

Can't say I've ever had that happen to me. Pretty surprised they didn't die from fall damage.

 

I once made a home base beside an anchor to an avian ship, eventually the avians just started spawning around the anchor and going into my home. The ship was completely intact and I didn't do a single thing, I think they just eventually start spawning/warping to the ground after a while.

 

Maybe there is a hole in the ship because of a meteor shower...
or a but of spawn.

 

i think they jumped off .-.

i watched on go a little bit on the path i made to get up to it kill an enemy and then jump off to the left but the huge group i saw was from the right NPCs apparently don't suffer from fall damage

 

Npcs don't seem to take damage from traps (The hostile ones anyways)

I got an avian guard to fall into a chainsaw trap and nothing happened to them

I've lured flying mobs into my electric traps and they don't take damage

Seems to me the only thing we can hit them with is poison water and lava =/ and the usual methods such as guns and swords/melee of course lol

They tend to start falling out of the ship once you get within the general area. Chalk it up to NPC pathfinding.

 

Kinda sad npcs and mobs take 0 fall damage...

 

I stole looted acquired tesla spikes and put them on my roof thinking it would be a great mob deterrent. That night, the mobs had fun walking all over my roof in the tesla spike light :/
So ya, mobs don't take damage from stuff that we do.

 

pretty easy answer, the captain made them walk the plank!
but he forgot his crew were Avians and that they glided off when they jumped.

 

if they attack this keep hit them why saying stay back
