Did that really just happen?

So, I was just minding my own business, talking to someone else (out of game). I was not looking at my screen and suddenly I here my character take a billion hits and die. I look back and i dont see anything. But there was lighting background. The only thing i can think is i was struck by lightning.

Its the only thing that makes sense! I was on an alpha planet in steel armor with nearly full health.

 

You sure you didn't starve? Cause I have done that.

 

alarm goes off when you starve, right? I didnt get an alarm.

 

I never noticed one...but that could just have been me not paying any attention what so ever.

OH, if your background was lighting up I know what happened. You froze to death.

 

Yeah, you froze to death. There are not currently any other environmental hazards besides poison, lava, 'spikes' and cold.

 

Ah bummer. I was hopeful, I have seen background lightning during rain before but freezing seems like an extraordinarily more plausible explanation.

 

Freezing also let's the alarm go Beep Boop. I'm more positive that he got hit by bubbles/fire/ice breath from a bird or land monster. Don't forget that when you die, they dissapear from your screen and those abilities tend to hit alot of times if you don't move~

 

no. the alarm goes off before you starve, actually. it starts at either 2 bars or 1 bar of hunger meter left. and it continues until you starve to death or you go over the 1 or 2 bars of hunger again.

especially if it could hit sand and turn it into some weird glass shapes or something that would be so cool to stumble on a planet with giant lightning-glass sculptures sticking out of the sand agh
