You silly people are a few days early. Starbound is in Beta so it's using the Julian calendar. The update to Gregorian is in the patch after this.

Expect it sometime in Februarius.

 

Well, all that impatience does just mean you all do really, really like to play Starbound, after all (like I do, btw). The problem with the internets though is that rude and pessimistic tone. If you don't want to wait, then don't. I do not think it is just me that wouldn't miss all the hate and "You do a bad job" threads.

Oh, yes, I get that some just criticize the communication and wrong estimates. But if you look around a bit, that's how it works. Even a company moloch like Blizzard gives bad estimates and lacks communication at some point. If there is something important to report to the community, I am sure they will do that one way or another. Chill, guys, there are other things in life than Starbound.

Just my two cents. Now go on discussing how Chucklefish don't know how to do their job.

Well others just say the release date is: "When it's done". It's a patch to a beta and they did a lot of changes to the engine (so it's not that trivial). Let them test it a bit. At least we got some info regarding what's going on.

 

The majority of the people posting in this thread, just get over it and be patient. Crying about delays and throwing fits isn't going to make the update arrive any sooner. we're already getting no more char or ship wipes, which is what everyone was originally crying over.

Maybe they should release the update with a game breaking bug that crashes everyone's game so we can finally have the update when we want it. I mean testing!? Who needs that am I right?

Yeah, of course u are right - but that does not make chuckeflish's public management better. As mentioned a lot of times, they are doing a great work, but in some aspects there is space for improvement. "because other are still worse" is not the best excuse to lack in certain aspects.

lately it's really common to mock everyone who has the one or other critique, and it doesn't matter if its constructiv or not ... i trust them, when it is said, that the update still needs time, they'll try their best ... but .... 5 suspensions? they could at least make a little statement, what's going wrong, give us a little preview of what awaits us, or something like that. the only thing we get are tweets after a lot of search ...

I read every devs feed, and yes I know what you mean, but remember these are their personal twitter feeds. If you want only Starbound news then follow the Starbound twitter feed. I'm not trying to be rude either btw, just stating the obvious.

That gives the possibility that it is in the hands or database of steam at the moment awaiting arrival... or that others are taking a look and then it goes into that database. So many ways to look at that...lol
