Bartwe from the stream: "Will it be done tonight? I don't think so."

On patch testing: "We're still finding regressions."

On deadlines: "We're clearly horrible at meeting deadlines."

It's a wrap, folks, pack up and go to bed.

Just play the game and don't update. I don't expect to see this patch coming for a while.

This would truly upset me if this would be a released game, it's not so ... it doesn't.

Nevertheless I could play the game right now but I decide not to.

From how Bartwe put it, there likely won't be a patch for at least another 16-24 hours, even then it might be delayed to Monday.

Entitlement is a strange thing. We all paid for an unfinished product in beta, and as a result got the game for what's likely to be $10 cheaper than what the game will be at release.
Be considerate and understand it from their point of view instead of acting like selfish consumers. It's really that simple.

It bothers me having to wait as well, and no I'm not a white knight, just a realist. Patience is a virtue in a world where most take everything for granted.

Why? It seems like all the core features of the game are present, along with many extra features.

I didn't know this was a Beta as someone bought the game for me, and I was surprised when I found out it was, although a little less surprised when I heard about the character wipes etc.

Once patches can be released without erasing character and world data, I will start playing again, and until then I will play something else!

I have nothing against Chucklefish, but seriously? I understand they are finishing up the game for the people that put money in their pockets, but the problem isn't that everyone is being impatient, the problem is that the devs are going days/weeks without at the very least, posting a small comment on the front page to let us know the progress of what we paid for. Sure people talk about the "Starbound reddit" and how info is being posted on there, but let me ask you a question, "Why did they even start posting on the front page to begin with if they are just using reddit?" In addition, when they actually post information on the front page, its always bogus information. Like I said, I'v been patiently waiting on this game with no issues, but when the developers say, "Upcoming patch next week" and it doesn't come that week, or that weekend either, is when people start to get a little annoyed.

I think we'll still be alive for when the time comes that $2 games are crap unless they have 500+ hours of guaranteed gameplay.

What do you mean entitlement? Of course we're entitled to at least some information, we paid for the game. Being an apologist is a strange thing; no one here can really make any commitment to the game when they know their progress will be wiped and every time we're given a date, it's pushed back. They shouldn't put deadlines they can't meet in the public domain, it's as simple as that. If I did that in my job, I'd get sacked.

Not everyone who has bought Starbound use reddit to begin with, so for them to be using that as a way for them to give out information is dumbfounding. They have an official Twitter and an office Blog on here, they should use them.

Exactly, I know I sure don't use it, but the fact is they have all these social media/blogs but they leave out the one key factor that most people are looking at, which is the starbound homepage just waiting day after day for anything, but we are getting nothing.

So they shouldn't "ramble" until they have a set idea of what is happening. A little professionalism wouldn't go amiss. Saying it's a small company doesn't wash, they've made millions over night; they can afford a public relations manager who controls what information goes out. Hell, I'd do it for free because I like the game so much.
