Hello everyone, After seeing this post http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/designing-a-world-destroyed.95157/, i decided to try to make some destroyed buildings. The first one is gonna be a nuclear vault, inspired by those of the Fallout game serie. On the first screen you can see the main entrance, gate control room, a room for checking incomming people and an observation room just above. On the second screen, there is the corridor leading to the stairs and the elevator. The corridor has been separated in half by an earthquake. For the moment thats all, im gonna add a few details probably and of course continue the construction I'll probably add some backstory to that place later too. Let me know what you think about it, I'll post more screen soon ! PS: Sorry for my bad english :/
Your English is fine! No need to apologize for it! I love the idea too! Will you have a small section that was safe from the destruction? Perhaps a little room where survivors are eking out a meager existence? I'm personally a fan of putting pictures in spoilers. My finger gets tired of scrolling through pages of pictures. Last update for today: Finnished the global design for the personnal rooms, five have been done yet. Im gonna add some details to make them look different from each others.
More updates ! Command Center and Vault AI Room: I tried to made a kind of 3D column housing the AI systems, tell me what you think about it guys probably gonna add more details later during the build and maybe remove that pannel with the danger sign
Veddy nice. The elevator is a clever use of tiles... Out of curiosity, are you using a mod for all that broken/rested furniture? I've not really delved into the vanilla version's "exists in files but not available in-game" content.
I found wrecked items in the creative mode mod, so chances are they are in the files and just not used in the game.
Thanks! Those wrecked objects are from the vanilla game, i spawned them by using any crafting stations while in admin mode. In singleplayer do a /admin in the chat box, go for a exemple to a robotic crafting station and type in the search bar "wreck" or "rusted".
The medbay/torture bay (anyway) is really nice, I particularly like the medical devices on the wall. ^^

Nope straight from the stable: Big version: http://starbounder.org/Wrecked_Panel Small version: http://starbounder.org/Small_Wrecked_Panel I spawned by using a robotic crafting table in admin mode wich makes you have access to nearly every item in the game. to get the wrecked items i used, go on this page and search for "wreck" you will have a list of all the wrecked items Those items are probably meant to be used for dungeons later, just like the objects comming from the Hylotl Cities
I think using Crystal Blocks in the over-frozen room might look better than the clean squares of the Ice Blocks.
Good suggestion, or the ice as background blocks, or try painting the metal blue. Lots of materials can appear like things they technically aren't in the right context.
