In the future i would like the option to have some kind of tech that takes allot of power and or fuel but some planets i would like to have an option to destroy them and after they blow up they can become asteroid fields What are your thoughts on this ?
That could be interesting, but could also be a powerful weapon for Griefers, not sure if it's that great idea, but don't worry =)
That would be awesome, but it should take a LOT of resources (each shot takes maybe 1000 solarium's worth of fuel), and you should be able to make a planetary shield to defend from it. Maybe it can only be fired from space stations (Who wouldn't want a Death Star?)
Terraria have a boss that will terra-form the biome in to a dying/ascending state, I think we could do similar ... not just "core boming" a planet to change it in to asteroid field... but "Core altering" by "seeding" something in to the "Core" of a planet to turn the planet in to a Massive dungeon... Example: "Hell seed" would turn the entire lava core in to demon blood pit, still deadly, AND now spawns demons... and corruption will now spray from the core up, faster through caves and monsters in "infected" places will change to demonic creature... and when the planet is 50% consumed... boss will appear! beat boss to win boss item... and reset the planet to "prestige" state... other types of "planetary infections": "Nano Cell":robotic, "Halo": heavenly(hostel) "Living Planet Heart" Meat Biome, "Thorn" Thorn
SOLUTION FOR GRIEFFERS Good idea, to prevent grieffers for using this you just need a home planet, no cannons can be fired at home planets soo this will end the grieffer problem.
A better idea... a device that can turn a planet into an asteroid field, but 1) is VERY expensive in materials, 2) has to be planted in the magma at the core, and 3) has a settable timer so you can escape. I should point out that it takes a LOT of energy to blow up a planet so that it doesn't just fall back into planet shape again. Maybe a lesser bomb that turns it into an airless magma planet, and a greater one that creates an asteroid field? Edit: Or maybe a 'terraforming device' that lets you literally change the surface biome? But that's a different suggestion, and off topic. ^^'
