is there a midi file of Desert Battle 2? i tried converting a .mp3 to .MIDI but that resulted into a vinesauce reaction (known as sounding nothing like how it originally did) and i really want to convert it to a .ABC file in starbound composer so i can play it in-game,because its been removed i guess, anyone know a way to get it?

i did an arrangement of "I was the sun (before it was cool)" for string orchestra (.mus file) that I can easily convert to midi. Doesn't really count because it isn't the same track, but it does contain some of the thematic stuff. Curtis Schweitzer surely borrowed material from this one when he did "i was the sun". My arrangement also doesn't have any drums, but it could be a starting point for editing if someone wants to do the rest of the work, or if you just want small parts of it. it's on my soundcloud page if you wanna hear it in orchestral (midi) form. https://soundcloud.com/total-listener

if no one else comes up with the proper midi, hit me up and i'll send you the midi for what i have, gl

Thank you,i could use the MIDI,google doesn't seem to have any (proper) search results for a midi file, and trying to convert a .mp3 file to midi sounds...awful (and hillarious) just wish they kept it in the game though

Ya i wish they would just keep it all. It was interesting to go back and listen to "Desert Battle 2" and hearing all the content that got reworked and reused in "I was the sun". Send me an email at freshearscomposer@gmail and I'll attach the midi file to the response.

side note: i hear that there are ways to convert real audio (mp3, wav, etc) to midi, but it isn't advisable unless you have very light texture (solo instrument) or if you have all the individual instrument tracks and convert them individually. This is because midi is a totally different thang. It would be like going to the zoo and expecting to get a chance to pet the bacon.
