Likely not, unless you use the ones that use kinetic bridges/needles. Unfortunately, I must quietly point towards the wikipedia article on the TAC 50, or the S&W 500
How is that a problem? If you think about it, getting into a fight with the person stationed at the gate is almost guaranteed to make some people angry at you, and if you injured him he could get away from his post for awhile. This would give him more room to maneuver in and at the same time give your character a reputation from the fact that the story would get twisted until you were the one who instigated the attack.
Muuurgh it doesn't feel right to accept Gwen still but I trust you to keep yourself in check. Both are accepted.
Edited Haku's skirmish scene with Liam on page 5 to reflect Liam's changes with his Gift-- if anyone cares to read it. Liam can absorb semi-biological objects, like the rope made out of Vance's nanites, but is still vulnerable to completely biological organisms aside from bacteria. His Gift is slowly evolving to accompany larger and larger biological beings. (Posted with Matt's permission)
What I'm seeing is extremely low rate of fire and effective uselessness at close range, so we'll see how it plays out. Sure, let's do it. Although, if I get injured, I'm just going to go from hanging around a border post to hanging around a hospital room, considering that just Grav's sidearm is enough to punch a grape-size hole through me.
I'm back. My wifi was acting strange, but it seems to have magically fixed itself, at least regarding everything except Google and YouTube, kind of? The technician is supposed to come either tomorrow or on Thursday. Meh. Regarding apps, I have updated the character list to include all the characters I couldn't get to in my absence. Cassandra is accepted, Isaac is not. Isaac's ability can basically be used as an instadeath touch. Cassandra can be used without Isaac and Isaac would be regarded as an NPC, if you were to go the route of not fixing his ability. Accepted, but from now on all apps deemed 'not serious enough' from you will be auto-denied. This guy seems like he'd have an amusing dynamic with Laguna, and he'd be filling a hole I've been having preventing me from advancing with the Incursio/Laguna arc thingamajig very snugly.
Added a limitation to Isaac's ability that it can not be used directly on living creatures due to their state constantly changing. In a city full of people with abilities, there's bound to be someone with the ability to at least speed up the healing process. Add in the fact that you're a member of the police force and you could possibly get the help of someone who has such an ability even if there wasn't one working in the hospital.
By the way, I'm going to write up a second character before writing anything more in the IC. Hopefully I manage to finish her up quick, but my crippling perfectionista OCPD almost always stops me short from writing an overwhelming wall of text... I hope I'll be able to cull it somewhat.
