OH THANK- I mean, uhh, yeah, of course it is. It's not like there was any doubt in the first place. ... *cough*
Name: Isaac Bari Age: 27 Gender: Male Gift (Power): (Supernatural ability or mutation. You can only have one Gift) Isaac has the power to tell what an object is comprised of by simply looking at it, and can turn the entire object into one of its components by touching it, though the appearance remains the same. If a solid becomes a non-solid, the appearance becomes that of the non-solid it became rather than remaining the same. He can revert this effect, but in order to do so he must spend extensive periods of time in close proximity to the aforementioned object. If the object had some kind of effect from either touching, or being in close proximity to it, then that effect remains even if the original cause is replaced. Weaknesses and Limits: (Something that causes your powers to go haywire, and/or limitations on your powers.) Due to the specifics of his ability, having anything completely cover his eyes or hands prevents him from effectively using his ability. In addition to these two restrictions, during an attempt to restore something back to normal he has to keep his attention on the object or he'll have to restart the process. If his ability is used on a liquid, or something large enough, his power only changes an area of about thirty cubic feet. This ability can not be used directly on living creatures, since their state is constantly changing. Living creatures in this regard have a pulse caused by muscles, meaning trees and plants, which have something similar to a pulse, can still be affected. Appearance: (Describe your character. An image is optional) Isaac is about five foot seven inches tall() and has ear-length brown hair. His sea-foam green eyes that are soft despite the hardships of his life and his constant smile is thought of as unnerving by some.He normally wears bright shirts one size too large and khakis, but on occasion he tosses on a set of black scrubs and a windbreaker two sizes too large to go out 'hunting.' Personality: (101.9% optional) Isaac is generally pretty easy-going and sociable, wandering around Brinkhaven, or whatever location he's in, talking to people regardless of whether he had met them previously. History: (Required, but just basics, like where your character was born, their life before coming to Derika, how they got to Derika, their relation to the ETG if they have any, etc.) Isaac was born to a pair of entertainers in rural Virginia, who took part in a family run circus and magic show. From an early age he trained in acrobatics and various deceptive magic tricks, and became fairly nimble. Unfortunately, his upbringing made him maintain a constant smile, regardless of what he was feeling, occasionally creeping out his classmates to the point of them attacking him to make him stop smiling. He withstood these attacks every time without attacking back while maintaining the smile, knowing that a single mutual fight could cause problems for the rest of his family. This went on until he was sixteen, when someone started a riot against his family, claiming that some of the things they were doing couldn't possibly be done by normal humans and demanding them to remove anyone who was performing this tricks before that night's show. Isaac knew he was one of them, so he quietly slipped out before anyone else noticed, using his prior training to easily scale the nearest building and escape across the rooftops. He also knew of one other, one of his second cousins who had the ability to make others see what she wants them to see, which he believed was the reason for the demand. Over the next four years he wandered around, performing on street corners and in small theaters, slowly amassing a respectable amount of money, though his bad luck seemed to be following him. Every night after a performance he'd almost always have someone attempt to mug him for the money they saw him get from whoever owned the theater he had performed at. Every time this occurred, the mugger found him stoically resisting and only found pieces of cloth inside the wallet after the assault, making them attack him even more to draw out where his money was. These incidents tended to bring him fairly close to either passing out, and a few even gave him deep scars on his body in addition to substantial blood loss, though the muggers ran away early enough in those cases for him to get enough first aid to seal the wounds. During this time he also aided people by informing them about the locations of objects that the person was looking for, and accruing a network of favors owed to him in the process. As the final of these four years was coming to a close he received a letter from his family, telling him that his aforementioned second cousin had suddenly vanished a short time ago after using her ability again for the first time since the incident. His family didn't know the exact location of where she was taken to, but they had heard from some of the locals that someone had blazed out of the town and headed westward. With this information, he headed out and traded in most of his favors to acquire and repair an old motorcycle that he knew one of the people who owed him a favor didn't want anymore. Nearly a month after receiving the news that his second cousin was missing, he finished the repairs with the aid of the owner of the motorcycle, though the motorcycle was covered in rust that he had told them not to bother trying to remove since it could damage the frame. Isaac placed his hands on the finished bike and the rust seemed to vanish, making the iron look as good as new and startling the man who was resting nearby. He carefully checked every inch to make sure the rust was gone before waving goodbye to the man and thanking him for his help, simultaneously launching himself out of the man's garage. With the knowledge that he was to the east of where she had been kidnapped from, he set out to the west, crossing several state lines while searching for any clues of where she could have ended up. After two months of searching, he hadn't found any leads on where she might have been taken, and while he was thinking he almost ran into a teenage girl who was crossing the road, though she didn't seem to notice as he stopped a few feet from her. He asked her if she knew of any recent stories of someone being taken away or anything similar, since he doubted she would know of his second cousin's exact kidnapping. To his surprise she told him that she was on her way to find her parents who had stopped coming home a week prior, and he told her he could get her to where she wanted if she knew where to go. After fifteen minutes of weaving around the cars that were going slower then them, they finally arrived at where she thought her parents were. A guard tried to stop them from getting inside, but Isaac pulled out a few cards, and while the guard was distracted by them he knocked the man down and knocked him out immediately afterward. They ran into a few more guards on the way to the girl's parents' lab before heading to check out an oddity on the floor layout, and upon arriving at the oddity discovered that there was something hidden behind the wall. It took them awhile, but they finally found a way to get into a small stairway hidden behind it and headed down, a faint taste of iron filling the air as they descended into the hidden basement. Every room they passed by had at least one corpse laying on a table, but in a few there were more than one, including the one that had the girl's parents, making her cry. Once she calmed down enough, he told her to head back up and he'd catch up with her in a second, waiting until he was sure she was gone before placing his hands on her parents corpses and activating his ability, leaving no trace that they had ever been there. With a sigh he headed back up and the two of them headed west until they reached the coast, where he paid for two tickets to a place called 'Derika,' hoping that doing so would allow the girl, whose name he had learned was Cassie, would recover from the experience. Upon arriving, he had her temporarily stay in Brinkhaven while he began a construction project fifteen miles from it walls, which took him three months to achieve a small amount of livable space, allowing him to invite her back. He felt that since he had been with her when she saw her parents he should help her out as much as possible, though he did still wonder where his second cousin could be. Over the next few years the two of them used their abilities to expand and strengthen their home until it seemed like a large fortified safe-haven from the beasts that lived nearby. These beasts had tried eating them repeated throughout the first year, but decided that the two of them weren't easy prey, so they left them alone, choosing to hunt easier prey instead. To this day the house is still being expanded, though the rate is slower than it used to be, and statues of various creatures line the hallways, ever vigilant with their dead eyes. Equipment: Drawing supplies(includes pencils, paper, erasers, an adjustable easel, etc.), a three foot novelty pencil, sealed vials of dusts from many different metals, and a mask. Name: Cassandra Elith Age: 22 Gender: Female Appearance: (Describe your character. An image is optional) Cassie is about five foot eight inches tall, with shoulder length blonde hair and an iron hairband keeping it back. She has a tendency to wear simple short-sleeve shirts and pants. Personality: (101.9% optional) Cassie is straightforward and prefers not to waste time trying to dance around an issue whenever she tries to gain information. She views herself as Isaac's voice of seriousness, but has an intense hatred for the ETG, at which point Isaac becomes her voice of reason. Gift (Power): (Supernatural ability or mutation. You can only have one Gift) Her ability allows her to touch any animal or living creature and gain its prominent physical abilities, which can range from simple increases in speed or strength to having regeneration or harder skin. An example of this would be if she touched a rabbit, she'd gain increased speed and the ability to jump higher then normal without risking any damage from doing so. These increases have no time limit associated with them, so if she touched a rabbit she'd have those abilities until she touched another non-human with the desire to absorb its abilities. Weaknesses and Limits: (Something that causes your powers to go haywire, and/or limitations on your powers.) Touching a human does not grant her their abilities and she is limited to a certain number of increases at any given time, which can increase. While her ability is active, she consumes more energy than normal, requiring her to eat more often the more active she is. History: (Required, but just basics, like where your character was born, their life before coming to Derika, how they got to Derika, their relation to the ETG if they have any, etc.) Cassie was born to a pair of doctors who ran a decent sized medical clinic in a small town in Nebraska, where they were known as being quite willing to treat people for food and other products rather than money when they were unable to pay. On some occasion they even delayed requesting for payment a few times when there had been a recent death in the patient's family, so they were mostly well-liked by the other inhabitants. They had no clue that Cassie had any abilities, since she had no clue her ability activated and her parents thought she was just being cute when she said that she loved having races with their pet rabbits. One day, they were approached by a representative for a project to "prevent unnecessary mutations in humans," which they quickly agreed to since they thought it would benefit humanity. Unbeknownst to her parents, while they were away she sneaked into their room and read a research notebook filled with horrifying stories of people being dissected just because they were different. Beyond this the notebook kept referencing a group called the 'ETG,' but nothing was really said about them besides that they were the reason for the whole thing and her parents fear that if they stopped working all of them would be arrested for what they did, leaving her all alone. Stowing this notebook back where it was, she returned to her room every night until she couldn't bear the thought that her parents were in such a detestable position, so she confronted them. In this confrontation, she told her parents that she wanted them to quit the job and return to being the doctors they once were, and they agreed after realizing that knowing she knew made her capable of being used as leverage to keep them around. They agreed to quit the following day and thy never returned that night, nor the following night, and she waited until a week had passed with no sign that her parents would ever return. By this point in time she was already fifteen, so she walked towards where she knew her parents went for work, meeting someone who was lost along the way and being given a ride in exchange for her help. With the help of this stranger, she managed to get past the small ETG outpost's defenses and into an underground room where her parents were strapped to tables, dead from an experiment that she never managed to learn the details of. This horrible image remained vibrant in her head and over the next few years she stayed with the stranger, finding out all she could about ETG. Over these years the stranger took her to his house on Derika, which slowly grew over time as they worked together on it to give them more room. At first the house was a fairly basic wooden house, but over time it slowly became a fairly strong fortress with the help of the stranger's ability. Once the house was finished the stranger finally introduced himself as Isaac Bari and told her that she would always be welcome for as long as she was alive. Since then she has helped defend the house from the wild creatures that live in the surrounding area and followed him whenever possible, believing that if she followed him she would one day be able to pay back the ETG for what they had done. Equipment: A book with samples of various animal furs, a first aid kit, clothes, a large duffel bag that she usually leaves behind, and a hunting knife.
No kidding, the Gift is hilariously similar. I was going to ask you if you'd talked to him about Xai or something because that's an uncanny resemblance.
Nope lol, in fact I'm sorry, but if you were in the last thread I have no idea who you are. King I mean. And I doubt I have your steam lol And Matt why are you up so late?! Get some sleep boy!! <>!
My slime character. I could bring him back just for the sake of quick and easy RPing with Silvira and company.
Wait first did you find the apps on the old thread so I can do my tweaks since apparently I'm dumb and didn't save them on the laptop?
No not yet sorry I kinda gave up for tonight since it takes so much longer to search on my phone than my laptop
Okay I'll just find them in the morning then. Thanks for trying though. Goodnight and you make sure you get your sleep too !! <>!!
