RP DEPTHS: The old city.

Ron frowns and worms his way over to his newly found unbinding tool. He starts in on freeing himself as carefully as he can from the ground, glancing at the fishman often.

She skids to a stop and forces herself back up, too scared to worry about injury. She hobbles forward, looking down at herself to grab two knives in one hand, the other hand helping her leg along.

 

Malcolm goes West, or at least West-ish.

 

You soon meet up with Richard. Sklod waves from the roof above...

You soon meet up with Sasha and Simo... Sklod has been following from the rooftops...

You then hear the sound of screeching pipe flutes...

And then Demina...

It looks to be... A knife...
Demina's...
But you'll have to move across broken glass...

You then hear another thunderclap, before you feel everything just go awfully numb...
You feel your diaphragm contract, forcing a scream of agony...
Before you black out...

You wake up, drowsy and feeling utterly wired, but at the same time...
Very ill... You just can't move...

You are soon severely lost...

You hear what sounds like distant pipe flutes screeching...
And then hear the screams of Demina...
"That's not good..."
"Let's get going..."
"No, we stay here..."

 

He hands off the pipe to Simo and immediately turns to the sound of Demina, moving quickly again as he tries to figure how far she is.

 

Bryon looks around for Demina, shaking slightly

 

Simo waves back.
Sasha takes his camera out, seeing if this creature will show up on film now that it was dead.

He takes the flute. "Sweet, let's hope this thing's worth it. Uh, is something the matter?"

 

"Something's happened! Didn't you hear the scream?"

 

Ron stops and shakes his head at both the knife and the glass, "Damn..." He continues forward, leading with his chest and trying to quickly force himself over the glass shards.

Demina's eyes shoot open and she takes in a deep breath before half-closing them and letting the breath out in a long groan as the drowsiness and illness hit her. She tries to look down at herself, 'Why so slow..?'

 

She's way away past even the camp... There's no way you can reach her..

You stir awake, she's not here... You know which direction she went, but...
She's more or less gone now... No point in risking it...

It still doesn't show up beyond the sort of film in its general shape...
((They had both heard the screams))

Which will you chase? The salzar and elder thing? Or perhaps start for Demina?

The glass crunches and cracks loudly...
You hear a low Croooooooaaak...
A pale yellow eye opens, glaring at you from the shadowy corner of the room...

You throw up a little to the side, shocking yourself out of your tiredness... But you still can't move... You can feel an electrical buzz at your shoulders and hips... Something's paralyzing you...
You find you're hooked up to a low buzzing machine... A mindflayer stares at you with its pale skin and light eyes...

 

Malcolm shoots three rounds in the air, then waits five minutes before repeating the process.

 

"Uh, yeah? It's just another sound to this whole cacophony."

Sasha pockets his camera, frowning in annoyance, mumbling something about 'vampires'.

 

Bryon folds into himself, shaking....He's such a pitiful coward....

 

"How the hell did she get all the way out there?!"

 

"What, who? I don't know!"

 

"Lil scientist like Avali lady who stuck around! We can't just leave her like that..And I ain't gonna!"

 

After a moment of thought, Simo snaps his fingers. "Oh, I remember! She was the one asking about that icicle guy. That was her?"
Sasha's voice rumbles. "If that's the case, we have no time to lose. Our little excursion can be sidetracked for a moment."

 

Nothing seems to be happening...
Wait, you hear something coming...

"No, we have to help Chlauri and the elder thing. We have more of a chance to help them than Demina."
You then hear the rifle shots... One two three...
One two three...

 

"I ain't leaving one of our own behind!"

 

"We're under no obligation to do so."
Simo's ears twitch in sync with the gunfire. "Yeah, besides, is this what he wanted?" He tosses the flute to Sklod. "You can return to your boss, we're going elsewhere."

 

Malcolm levels his gun in the direction of the noise.
