Deleting and Renaming Characters?

    I am not sure if this has been asked yet, but is it possible to delete and rename characters? Thank you :)

    You cannot rename characters but you can delete them. Go to your start menu go to computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) (normal program files if you do not see (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Starbound > player > (delete files in this folder)

    Thanks for this; I wanted to go through and blow away a couple of random characters I made while messing around with the creator. Cheers.

    Now I just need to find that folder on my Mac.

    How can you tell which character is which? I want to delete one, not all, and I am indeed on a mac, and can't figure out which character is for which file.

    Old thread, though I can see this is still relevant.

    I don't have a Mac, but you could probably figure it out by looking at the date the files were modified/created.

    Log on to that character briefly, then log off. The 3 files for that character will be newest timestamped.

    Actually you can rename characters via code.But be careful, that kinds of stuff can mess up your character.
