Probably not but maybe the night of 4th December.

 

haven't seen the steam page yet is it gunna be up later today or on beta release? o.o;

 

Somewhere around there. (I imagine it would go up late Wed night, early Thurs morn)

 

This is a wise move either way. Steam lets you control the beta distribution by wiping it and dropping the latest version of the game as soon as the devs launch it. Adding in a stand-alone beta is just too messy to keep track of and field support questions - as my time as a don't starve moderator can attest too. 90% of my support responses was: "do you have the latest version of the game?" and the response was always: "uh, no, I haven't updated it in 3 months."

 

i am sure that someone else has mentioned it. I think that maybe there should be some clarity as to the timing of the availability of the download, because I am sure that there some people who will be very sore if they cannot start their download by 12:01 their time on the 4th.

 

gonna have leave from 03.12.2013 - 16.12.2013... hope beta comes within that time

Exact timing is not always up to the devs. They submit the beta to Steam, and it's out of their hands at that point. They can only 'guestimate' a date. (not time)

well actually they will be sending us E-mails containing the code for the beta so it IS up to them

 

I keep getting emails and freaking out in the middle of the library because I think its going to be an email from chucklefish, but it just turns out to be eBay or something dumb.

 

Steam keys should be delivered at 10am Pacific Time. That's what Ominipotententity said today. Keep in mind that not everyone will have the Key at that exact time, this things takes time even if automatized. The Steam page for the game is up to Steam itself, should be available at the same time, as for indiscretions.
I don't really see the reason to have such an urge anyway, beta will be out that day, sooner or later, i don't think someone will die for a little wait, but i'll keep watching the news on TV if so will happen.

 

Sub forum for non game breaking stuff, and I would imagine an automatic dump to Chucklefish for anything that causes hard crashes...but I'm just making an educated guess on the latter, as that's how it usually works.

Molly said she'll have the sub forum set up after the beta has released.

 

So no one will start writing there about the "i don't know the exact time beta will be delivered" bug
