And since, you know, foods-bring-buffs-and-abilities is kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind of a major gameplay element, then yeah, they should be spending time on this. PLUS, as many have pointed out, NOT TAKING FALL DAMAGE FOR A LITTLE WHILE is kind of a big deal, on top of the increased mobility. Reading is fundamental! Also, knock it off with the racist crap.
A little late for experiments and the search itself. NOT TAKING FALL DAMAGE FOR A LITTLE WHILE is kind of a big deal, on top of the increased mobility. This is complete nonsense, reducing damage from the fall can be made much easier. Uncontrolled bouncing completely pointless.
How is it too late for experimenting? They are still revamping stuff, and adding content, why would it be a bad time to try out new and interesting stuff to add to the game? Legitimately, I would like to know, why do you think its late to do this?
Because they have already sold their game, now they need to finish it, but do not begin to develop again. Rather than lead the game in playable condition, they spend time on different funny nonsense. These balls and hundreds of dishes did not approach us release.
Yeah, we're done here. It's aggressively obvious that they've dug in their heels on preconceived notions based on Zod-knows-what and no amount of facts or logic will dislodge them.
Erm, they are developing it. They are ading content, obviously, yet they are also revamping and improving the framework itself. Cant they add the goofy and interesting along with the performance and buffs integration? Hell, both are related to eatchother, so why do you think they arent developing? All of these aditions add content, be it in Co-Op fun, just random exploration or just server madness.Personal cookyness is also acounted, you think nobody is gonna kill Dreadwing with paper planes, you are wrong. Perhaps its not trully apealing to you, yet it is valuable for others, perhaps you should embrace a new perspective? You are free to dislike these aditions, yet denying that they are valuable seems odd
Do you want them to rush towards the minimal set of release features and create a game that, while technically complete, is barren and boring, or do you want them to develop it properly and take the time to make a good game? Rushing games to release just to meet deadlines can be extremely damaging to the final quality of the game.
I'm afraid that when it comes out, I forget that I once bought. Things "for fun" could wait until the post-release.
I think he's arguing for the sake of arguing, honestly. The things he's complaining about allow the game to be far more diverse and interesting, as well as open up the way for other gameplay improvements (like how throwable reusable weapons are a thing and will most likely lead to time bombs and whatnot). Simply going by dev blogs alone it's apparent the amount of changes that have come to Starbound, and they don't even touch on every little thing added. They simply highlight. He's being thick.
If this will be a game - no. The project is now in unplayable condition and balls is not correcting. Quite the contrary - I see a waste of resources on useless thing. I paid for it and want to know how this is going to develop.
Guys, i don't want to argue with all of you again and again, so could you, please, simply try take into account a possibility that different ppl think about different gameplay mechanics as "important"? If someone sees " foods-bring-buffs-and-abilities is kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind of a major gameplay element" that OK. But not seeing those as one is OK too. I don't care about it too, but prefer to refrain from posting negativity about it. I want to saw at least something from (sorry for posting it two threads in a row): I think about those as important, and i want to know how's work on it is going, is there any chances for any of it, to be in 1.0 or everything is already thrown away. But from my POV almost nothing posted in Devs blog lately is important to me. So i can share part of Sharps frustration.
Oh man. Imagine the bounce buff combined with either of the Boosts. Bounce keeps you nice and airborne, a short Butterfly or Bubble Boost in midair nudges you in the right direction... lots of extra mobility without having to drain the hell out of your energy bar.
Im afraid, you are blantanly wrong, by principle. Perhaps you experimented it, but a tool wich alows your character to bounce increasingly higher at with every surface, it would require effort for it not to act as a mobility boost.
