Although I like the plant race (it looks so awesome) I will still be playing human heheh.

Man when I first saw them I wasn't a fan, but they started.. sigh* they started growing on me.

I know what race I'm going to be. And I do hope this is a peaceful race... Maybe their teeth adapted to either eating meat, or tearing through different types of bark. Because, technically it wouldn't be cannibalism since they are different species. Plus there are plenty of plant species that kill other plants for their own benefit.

 

Agreed. Us Humans can eat Chickens, Cows, etc. & don't count as Cannibals, & with our meat eating capability, we can be friends with other meat creatures, like Dogs, Cats, Poptops, etc.

 

Especially if they show up at the dinner table!

 

I think that most of the races have so many "bad people" because it gives us, the players a good reason to slaughter them by the thousands and not be seen as mass murderers.

 

I wonder if we can mod the pre-release character generater...Maybe add a few items (or races)...

 

i doubt it, i mean you could probably photoshop the picture, but i bet the character thing will be built into the wbsite

Possibly, but, to be honest, most of you people wouldn't even need a reason. As a matter of fact, I would bet that a lot of us would complain if you couldn't laser, bludgeon, bisect, lacerate, defenestrate, disintegrate, and generally menace generally nice people completely unprovoked.

Edit: Also, defenestration needs to be in the game. Just saying.

But don't forget that Starbound has a main quest.
I'd be pretty surprised if it didn't involve being a good guy and killing bad guys of all species.
