No, seriously. Leave me alone. I am a simple feline, running from planet to planet, minding its own business in its never-ending quest to find galactic clues, collect critters, find treasure, collect ore, and hoard whatever furniture I can find laying around. And yet, in a simple, single run across a planet's surface, I typically get assaulted by about 50 of your kind. Used to be, passive monsters were much more common, and I swear, you aggressive types must have killed most of them off and reproduced because there's now countless of the aggressive types and very few of the passive. Also, the game seems to prefer generating about 50 of your kind and then maybe, just maybe, ONE critter here and there. It's insane. Especially since, in most cases, I have to stop what I'm doing, do evasive maneuvers in a potentially dangerous terrain, and attack you while avoiding contact damage. Every time just ONE of you notices me. I just want to be able to take a stroll without 50 of you chasing me down. TRANSLATION: There are far too many aggressive monsters spawning on planets, and it's reducing my fun. I have never liked the contact damage mechanic ever since it was first introduced, and I much prefer the way things were in one of the early giraffe versions. I don't like my exploration halted every 5 seconds because of monsters, and I don't like having to run away from them, either.
I'm not even using a mod that changes monsters at all, so this is me in vanilla getting swarmed by living carrots. lol
