The "Coming in tonight's update" post IS the changelog for this update.

Are the updates exactly the same as the previous update yesterday then? It's rather confusing if so. If that's the case then I guess we're fine.

    Have you read the post?

The bugfix for where the UFO flies away? Making silver more visible? Changing the graphics on the temperature meter? Those haven't been in the game all day. Because they weren't added in yesterday's patch. They were added in the patch that apparently just dropped.

Those changelog notes were dropped in the Reddit thread some 17 hours ago, and were associated with the 550mb first patch far earlier today, or so I assumed. Not an hour ago was another 572mb patch. Is it the same patch? And if these dev notes are for this patch, where is the changelog for the first one? Honestly, this isn't a gripe worth bickering this much over, but I think we're talking about different things.

the "first patch" news is for the one that came recently. the day-one patch didnt have a changelog (and probably never will :) )

It's a different patch. Tiy even said on Reddit it was for a patch 'later tonight' and listed various things that had nothing to do with the day one patch.

Yeah, never saw the changelog, but still the differences are there.

For all the people yammering about 500+mb updates: the windows executable alone is 631MB uncompressed. Thus, any update with changes to the client are going to be large, regardless of what they changed.

AFAICT Steam updates are not incremental, that is, to update client executable you get an entirely new copy instead of a patch style update where you get the parts that changed and the updater integrates them.

TLDR; update size does not imply feature update complexity/quantity.

don't ask about path notes on the website unless they post it. Its on the launcher.
