Dash Tech Obstical Course quest bugged?

Wait, WHAT? You're supposed to somehow make it through ALL the doors before the lights turn red? How on earth is that possible? I've tried over and over, and I can barely get through the FIRST set of doors before the lights go red. The white lights literally last for like one second. Which is just long enough to get your mouse over the first button, hit E, and, if you're lucky, dash through those doors.... Sometimes the red lights go on before I've even made it that far. How on earth are people managing to make it through all three in that short a time?!

This is massively frustrating... I'm basically stuck on the first planet with no way to get anywhere else, because I made the mistake of trying the Erchius Mining Facility mission and found I was nowhere near ready - it was pretty much instadeath before I even made it past the upper base. Read up a little on that and everyone was saying you need to have all three basic techs in place before you have a chance (plus apparently better equipment in general than I currently have access to). So I thought I would try this first, but it seems to be basically physically impossible. And if you can't do it, there doesn't seem to be any way of ever progressing in the game at all - without this you can't do Erchius, and without Erchius you can't fix your ship, meaning you can't go anywhere. I just started the game a few days ago, and was really enjoying it up until now, but it seems like the learning curve has turned into a straight vertical wall... The only two options that would allow me to move forward in the game at all both seem not to be possible for me right now, and I'm not sure what else there is that I can do...

It's really not that hard. It took me only about 3 tries first time around. You've just gotta learn the basics of the how the dash tech works, simple timing and all that.

In addition, it's not required to get the tech to do Erchius, but it does make it easier. And even then, Erchius is kind of a joke as long as you have a ranged weapon..
