Hello! I'm new! I made a very simple modification to the wet tilled soil. I am vision-impaired and it's hard for me to see the wet soil while I'm watering, and thought maybe other people had the same problem, too. Nothing fancy, here you go. Instructions: 1) Download the file ( LINK ) 2) Extract the file 3) Go to the following folder: Stardew Valley > Content > TerrainFeatures 4) RENAME / BACKUP hoeDirt.xnb 5) Copy the new hoeDirt.xnb into your Stardew Valley > Content > TerrainFeatures folder 6) Enjoy Darker Wet Soil @ Dropbox By request, I made an even darker version. Even Darker Wet Soil @ Dropbox Here's the Winter version. Instructions: 1) Download the file ( LINK ) 2) Extract the file 3) Go to the following folder: Stardew Valley > Content > TerrainFeatures 4) RENAME / BACKUP hoeDirtSnow.xnb 5) Copy the new hoeDirtSnow.xnb into your Stardew Valley > Content > TerrainFeatures folder 6) Enjoy Darker Wet Snow @ Dropbox
Didn't even realize this had been something I was wanting! Thank you! Using the Even Darker version! (Been stuck using old computer with junk resolution.)
Thank you! I didn't realize how much I needed this until I installed it, and now I can't live without it. I have the extra dark installed and it's a tad darker than anything "real", but I love it because there is no doubt about what has been watered. Even under the trellises and the big wide plants.
OMG the even darker is amazing! Finally, I can tell what is fertilizer and what is not now! Thank you so much for such a simple, yet supremely effective pallet swap. On second thought, how about just modding the various fertilizers so they stand out even better? Please?
I can try modifying the fertilized soil. It's a separate file, though. I'll also look into darkening the wet winter soil as well. Watering my winter seeds gives me a headache, haha. Edit: Updated the original post with the winter update. Still working on the fertilizer bit. Edit 2: I can't seem to find the file that contains the sprinkled fertilizers )': I've peeked into a bunch of folders and no luck. If anyone has any idea where they are, do let me know. I'd be more than happy to make the changes.
