you could always type up the update in something like notepad and then upload it through copy paste, it would be a bit harder to make sure images and stuff work but the text would all be fine, tho it wont hurt to wait a few days, unless someone is going to be impatient and bitch about it, you guys are already giving a lot of updates as is.

it would also be nice if people would stop bitching about the release date, it comes out when it comes out, you aren't the only one who spent hard earned money/mom's and dad's money on it, just deal with it till its done, seriously someone needs to backhand some of these people.

this may be unrelated to this update, but i think that you should only be able warp to your ship when your on the surface, cause during the live stream they were drowning and they just had to tp out to their ship. it seems a like an op way to avoid danger and should maybe depending on your difficulty or sumthing. also noticed that the time it takes to drown was a bit slow, or maybe it just depends on what race you picked. as for the tp when your on the surface, maybe something like u cant warp out if theres a block above u or something. an item can be added at a later tier to be able to warp out from anywhere. just some suggestions. good luck and god speed in finishing the beta.

Um... yes? I'm not certain what your point is. I'm sure plenty of the pre-order money has been used to pay for food, rent, gas, clothing, and whatever else. Will people complain about that too? Should Tiy be living in a cardboard box eating protein paste until the game is complete? It's well established by now that several of the devs are able to work on Starbound full time now thanks to the preorders. All the best investments that can be made have been made.

When you give someone money for a product or service, what they spend that money on is their prerogative. That's kind of how a job works.

They are? Maybe I'm missing something (feel free to point out specifics), but it looks the same to me. It's a 2D landscap with trees, rocks, and other details.

And I have no idea what you mean about the swimming animation. It looks exactly like it does in the Water Demo video. It even splashes and everything.

No, you haven't. Ever heard about rental? Me and Tiy are renting this flat together and you bet your bum that I paid my fair share of deposits and rents to be able to move in to this place. How about you stop questioning everything the development team do in their life. Newsflash, they had money before the pre-orders happened.

Anyways, i'm happy to see an update. Always great to hear a little insight whats going down behind the scenes.

To the people who keep raging over something like this, it's really none of your business what the devs/mods do in their free time, they're humans too. Its not like they can develop this game 24/7.
I think that its a blessing that they even post updates at all to begin with, I couldn't image how butthurt you would be if they only posted once a week, or dare I say every few days.

 

I make excuses when I'm acting lazy too.
