So to stop the forum from being flooded with 50+ threads every day about the updates, I figured we could keep it here. I'll do my best to keep this updated. ​

May 26 - more technical stuff, opening cinematics, horsemasks

May 25 - options menu, GUI improvements, other technical stuff

May 24 - intro comic features, player physics work, mechs, options menu, costumes/clothes, travel sounds change

May 23 - chat animations, mech and vehicle work, terrain features

May 22 – speech bubbles finished, game intro sequences, secret NPC stuff, more recipes, biome work

May 21- speech bubble polish, flying NPC behavior, weapon variety, biome work, avian tomb generator, ship transitions

May 20 - speech bubbles, NPC work, ship upgrade work

May 19 - speech bubbles, NPC pathing, slipspace transition, secret stuff

May 18 - mob spawning, ship UI animation, lighting changes, mod loading mechanics

May 17 - even more recipes, multiplayer nametags, status button, 3D printing interface

May 16 - more recipes, finished tech screen, blueprints/ unlock stuff, secret biome, crafting items

May 15- tech GUI, tech access from ship, chocolate fountain

May 14- codex system implemented, blueprint unlocks, tea pots

May 13- finished crafting window, beginning work on monster evolutions, NPC behavior changes, UI/HUD work

May 12-armor descriptions, crafting window search function, book reading interface, armor generators, spruced up Avian and Glitch dungeons

May 11-crafting window layout changes, more recipes, log book UI work

May 10-shields finished, more NPC attacks, more info on items in crafting window, search system for crafting blueprints, ocean environments, more costumes, improved UI with pop -up messages

Concerning May 12th:
Search feature! Now let's hope they add a really good filter system. I mean, who the hell wants to remeber over a thousand names?

 

Thats what minions are used for.

 

I already said it, but I really love these daily updates. Even with barely any info, it just seems like a good idea all around. Seeing as its posted on the front page, people who don't check the forums will see it and see that its getting updated everyday and be like "wow thats cool" and get more invested in the game.

oh, also the temperature system seems like it'll be interesting. I like the idea that I have to think about what armor I'm going to wear going into what planet. That'll mean you don't just wear the same armor for the whole game, and certain people will have different sets. It'll be like, this player may not have the best pvp armor, but fight them on an ice planet and you'll have trouble, which I think is really interesting. Home advantages and what not.

 

I love the daily updates, I think there just great !

 

But what about the thread about this thread? And the thread about that thread!?! THERE'S NOT ENOUGH THREADS IN THE WORLD.

I'm loving these daily updates. I'm hoping they don't spoil anything in these, but they seem to be just giving out info on mechanics and overall progress.

 

these updated are feeding my hype.... Its over 9,000.

The matter manipulator was the first item i saw in the game, and god! i fucking love it. Hope i can have it soon . I cant dislike nothing about the updates. Book reading, yay!!

This is a good idea though, we just need to have one big hub thread for all of the good threads out there.

 

Before the daily updates, I was pretty calm about this game actually. Despite being absolutely rabid about it this January.

Now I'm a bit like this.

 

I'll admit to have been in the category of "Patient people who were slightly disappointed with the lack of information" for a while, there. My exact thoughts were "Even bi-weekly updates would be great". I felt like my desire for this game was slipping, even though I still wanted it more than any game I could remember wanting in the past.

Daily? That is just beyond all expectation; I absolutely applaud it. If this keeps up, I'm going to go insane in the best way possible. And I like it.

I can't help but feel that they are doing this mostly because of all the impatient people out there who were all like: "Hey devs, don't have fun, don't eat, don't sleep, MAKE MY GAME" Which is not really a good thing, I mean, 1 day a week = awesome, 2 days a week = oh wow, but every day ? I don't know, just feels weird. And also, what's with a lot of people going like: "Oh woah, daily updateS?????/ BETA WILL BE OUT THIS WEEK THEN OMG OGMGM KGMDSADS. ....Seriously, just no.

 

Today's update was sweet. Just say'n.

 

I wonder why they are updating so much now.... Tis' curious.

 

Because community started to cry out loud... either piss them off or give them their frequent updates

 

not really. They got tons of money for their pre orders and are probably just starting to work full time, so they have more time to update everything
