I'm assuming it doesn't take much more than MS paint to make new clothes and such, but would other people be able to see them? Or would you just show up with a blank shirt or something?

I think it crashes their game tbh.

Looking trough the modding forum people are saying that if you are using assets (clothing images) that other people don't have on their PC but are trying to render it crashes their client. I'm pretty sure this will later be fixed by having server side mods (oh for the love of please let them do this!)

If you were to modify an existing cloth or armor, then everything will be fine. You will look custom on your side, but they would see you in the default look.

Ah yes ofcourse as long as you don't change the path to the image file you should be fine, they will just be rendering the file that's on their PC, you will be rendering the file that's on yours.

Currently every item's image is taken directly from the folder that the custom .item is placed in. Therefore if the other player doesn't have the custom item or armor in their game files then they will not be able to see it.
