    The main composer is creating the soundtrack in Apple Logic Pro 9. That program is used to create music.

    hes playing a piano, recording it, than overlapping it with violins, its like a program we use in school accept combined with fruity loops

    More precisely, "each bar" is an instrument. The lines in those bars are notes. He creates those "bars" then injects them into the song.
