[Current unstable branch] Can't craft platforms?

Despite having progressed several tiers, I don't seem to have any recipes for crafting platforms other than wooden ones. Am I missing something?

 

I've noticed that as well. There seems to be a lot missing in the current unstable build. (Platforms, dyes, some items for quests, pixel printer,...)

 

some things become available as you go. if you mean the 3d printer, that's there. so is the or refinery, and the pixel compressor. though I have to agree that dyes and Platforms are missing which is a huge bother. the dyes being missing might be because of the new armor tiers and separate armor for each class? perhaps they haven't mad colors for everything yet.

 

I'm sorry, I ment the Portable Pixel Printer.

 

Some of the items previously unlocked by the portable pixel printer now unlock with.. sometimes unrelated things. The cheap light unlocked for me the first time I found one on the field, then the metal block? unlocked when I found a planet with metal-coated tree biome and got my first piece of metal coated tree (even though it's still crafted with pixels)

So, I think the PPP upgrade is gone, but the pixel crafting it unlocked are still there. You have to unlock them all somehow, I presume. Which I kind of like, the current version of the upgrade and move on system of gameplay doesn't encourage much exploration.

 

In what Biome did you find those metal trees?

So, would you say that the current Unstable build is...platform independent?

Hopefully they add some way to craft platforms from fun materials, whether it's in a new crafting station or through the 3d Printer (hopefully a crafting station, since the 3dp costs a ton of money).

 

Somebody just said you need to find metal logs to craft such things, where are those metal logs at?

Unstable means something totally different than missing items

 

I believe the planet surface rust mini-biome has the metal trees.

I actually have found some metal logs, but they didn't unlock any recipes for platforms. I did get the recipe for the metal block from them, however.
