Cultist Armor (Does it exist?)

It is on the starbounder wiki, but I have not found any of the pieces nor have I heard of someone finding them.

 

I don't remember seeing this before.
Maybe it was added in the last update.

 

Huh. As far as I know the only types of armor available to the player are the ones you can craft.

 

You get them from..well... cultists. Random finds, and the drop isn't promised.
Also, your taskbar is disgustingly clean.

 

These are vanity, you can find them in chests

 

I believe these are the kind of Vanity items you'd find in chests.

I've killed thousands of those damn cultists this update and I've not received a single piece.

 

What are cultists anyways?

I don't rightly know. I think they are apex. Maybe they are not one race, but a mixed group.

 

I have as well, i think the only thing I get from them other than pixels, are stimpaks. maybe a blade.

 

I don't think so. Glitch announce their emotions at the start of their dialogue, while cultists don't. Similarly they probably aren't Floran because they don't ssspeak in sssnaketalk (or threaten to ssstab you) I don't think they are hylotl because of the eyes. I suspect they are either avian or apex- Avian because of Kluex worship, Apex because of the resemblance to one of their racial armors.
Really though, we can't see anything inside the armor to tell. They could be anything.

Edit: Avian characters don't know what the Altar is to, so they aren't worshipping Kluex.

 

I noticed them on the wiki before the furious koala update. I do not know exactly when the page was updated

 

As far as I can see it is mixed.

Why?

Some use the prefixes that Glitch have.

e.g. "Curious. That boil upon your fleshy human face is wriggling, why?"

and some don't.

 

Really? I haven't seen them say anything other than, "Death to heathens!" I must kill them too quickly.

 

Like everyone else that doesn't agree with me, they're definitely not human.

 

Well that was just an example, but they say things with and without the prefix. So yeah, I guess it's quite random... and they will say that when they charge at you, yeah!

 

I believe they are avians, since their altar is often smeared with avian blood. Probably grounded sacrifices to Kluex.

 

they're a mix of hylotl and avians I know because some have tails and others don't. I use avian tails

 

The trading card depicts them as some kind of cyclops-people. They're probably just weird people that don't belong to a race, such as the frog merchant or those rainbow bunny people.

 

The cultist set is a vanity set spawnable using admin commands.
There is another set called the "Armored Cultist" which is some kind of tentacle thing.

I spawned in two cultist tenants and one was a glitch, the other a floran, so they are definitely at least a few races.
