    I've encountered several. If i recall correctly they were all on magma biome planets, possibly volcanic aswell.

    I find some crystal underground... I don't know where exactly but they exist!

    There is a very large crystal sub-biome at
    X Lesloy 909 II C
    Biome: magma
    TL:10
    X: -43561245
    Y: -44584869

    There's an Apex town to the left and crystal chests inside it on surface level. Keep going left and you'll find another crystal chest on a hillside with a crystal backpack and a bp for crystal chair.

    I think they're found underground or on the surface of magma/volcanic planets. If only they weren't sub-biomes..

    I was hoping for some ultra-rare crystal planets and will be fairly annoyed if they never happen. There was a soundtrack piece for them and it was really amazing.

    As far as i know there are two biomes that prominently feature crystalline structures, one can be found on the surface of magma and volcanic planets featuring crystal trees and plants while the other one can be found deep under the surface of snow planets.
