I agree. Perhaps a new section could be created, however, to house the different topics about Starbound's images. Anyways, the point of these are purely to share news with those who haven't seen them yet. No harm intended.

At one point everything was getting thrown in the List of Announced Game Information thread.

That's a possibility I suppose, but depending on how frequently stuff is shown, it might just be better to keep them in General Discussion (though post-release we'll probably need a "Discovery forum" or something).
