I'm not sure if this has been touched yet or not, but... I've noticed, while shooting at creatures, that sometimes my bullets go right through them without doing any damage. Mainly, the head is the area that doesn't receive any damage from my shots to the taller enemies. I would suggest that the hitboxes be edited to where any part of the creature is harmed when struck.
I think this is a potentially important issue and I believe it should come to the attention of the devs.
I agree, from my experience ( with a rocket launcher ) it seems that tall ( like our character ) land mobs can't be hit if you target their heads. They also don't take damages if they are jumping or maybe just in mid air.
Yeah, I too have noticed this... Although you'd think with the amount of times a projectile passes through the fauna without damaging them we'd be cut a break too and have their projectiles miss us... No such luck. The AI is also damn good at rebounding projectiles around corners to hit you.
If anything, this makes it unbalanced. If I can't hit a creature that my shots are clearly hitting merely because of a hitbox problem, then it should be counted as an issue to fix.
creatures in the air still don't take damage sometimes when you shoot them in singleplayer. Areas still take time to load if you move fast enough, and I'm pretty sure the hitbox thing is still an issue. If it is a latency issue it's within the engine, I think.
