Post the log in the regular in-game support through pastebin and see if people there can see if it is mod related or not.
If it is mod related, follow the instructions in the first post.
If it is not mod related, then it's already on the right address.

 

Is there a way to straight up unlock the ship upgrades and skip the early game stuff?

 

I think I have the ship upgrades in the spawning box somewhere, but I would be cautious about it if I were you. It can screw up the quest progression as you need to do those quests to proceed, and might block up your progress.


PS: Yes, the crashes on the bosses is vanilla Starbound. It happened to me as well while playing normally on my own local server. When I retried it in Single Player it worked fine. It's a Starbound vanilla bug.

 

Ah, found them. I guess I wasn't looking hard enough. They're listed as thing 1 through 8.

 

It's easier to stick with the quests etc.
Most stuff dies in a jiffy if you get the equipment from the blue box.
The red and green box give the items needed for the quests.
Just make sure to bring wood from a cut down tree for the learning how to make paper quest, doesn't recognize the spawned unrefined wood as real wood.

 

No it doesnt block quests from completing, in the first place i got it because i spend 2 days looking left and right for a stone USCM monument, thats just ridiculous.
But having ALL the recipes for all in game items is on one hand very annoying, and well.. cheaty since thats what this does! + I didnt actually check since i wanted just 1 item, but i think most of them were free too.
I dont want to cheat my way through so yea.

Any way i guess im cheating in and going back to everything i had before, its the only way, dont get me wrong the mod is great and before the update i had it installed at all times( by that i mean more then half a year ago)

 

If you're that much into cooking I guess it's a problem......I personally don't think I'll cook much if at all.

I don't know if this has been covered yet but I keep getting a runtime error caused by 'rainbowoodtable'.
It only started popping up after installing the mod.

And then another window pops up about the runtime error.

If anyone could help me that would be fantastic.

 

I must have got drawn into strange lines of thought, I do that a lot. Still, the recipes won't do you any good unless you have what they require. Still I'm not seeing anyone else mention this issue......have you thought about removing the mod, redownloading it, reinstalling it and starting a new character?[DOUBLEPOST=1422885000][/DOUBLEPOST]

Could be an issue with another mod.....you have something else installed? A way to test this is removing other mods one by one and after each removal trying to start the game.

 

Only have this mod installed currently since it's one of few that are updated.

 

Are you playing on the latest stable version, and removed the previous version (if you had one) before installing the mod?

 

No, I hadn't. I didn't think of that solution because I hadn't expected it to have updated again. Thanks anyways, and have a nice day!
Edit: It worked.

 

Whatever happened, I can assure you CreativeMode does not teach characters all the recipes out of nowhere. You must've crafted one of the recipe unlockers before this could happen. So yeah, make a new character, spawn in the items (or leave them somewhere at the spawn planet) and go along your merry way.

 

I believe the issue may have been caused be my being in /admin mode. My new character works.

 

just what i searched for... now i tested it ingame, then i rate..

 

just so you know, and i know this sounds weird, but:

>installing mod
>enabling creative fly tech
>leaving that tech on your player
>deleting mod

breaks your player file.
no matter what i did, i couldnt retrieve my player.
i copied my ship over to a new player, but that didnt work properly, and i copied the mete file to a new player, but that slightly broke quests (and i couldnt get tech that i already previously had)

luckily i had this mod, and that online player file editor to just respawn my inventory and i had only just started playing again so i didnt really lose out too much.

also, hosting a server while you have this mod, makes others crash if you place down the blue ultimate box in front of someone/ if theyy see one. its kinda funny though lol

 

There's nothing I can do about either of those things.
