I'm... Not sure what causes the crash. I have a big amount of mods, so I honestly have no idea. Here's the pastebin link though, and here's my collection. Any ideas what might be the cause? It DEFINITELY worked before with the exact same collection of mods, but now it refuses to load up a character, and crashes on the "loading the world" stage.
There is an out of range exception thrown from one mod that is causing the crash. Most likely a result of this error: Code: [23:03:59.719] [Error] Could not apply patch from source: E:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\211820\755833356\contents.pak. Caused by: (JsonPatchException) Could not apply patch to base. (JsonPatchException) Could not apply operation to base. (TraversalException) Could not find "price" to remove So it's likely at fault of whatever mod is SteamID 755833356. Sadly, I do not know of a way to search workshop items via ID. If you have the knowledge, you should unpack the content at that file dir, and determine what mod it is, and report the bug to the author. Otherwise, you may have to sequentially unsubscribe from your mods until you learn what one is the error.
For searching steam mods per id i use the link: Code: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=MODID_HERE The mod for id 755833356 is "Colony Tweaks". ~ Iris ~
Yep, removed colony tweaks and it gave me a different error. It gave me: Code: [23:35:34.617] [Warn] Failed to deserialize entity: (MapException) Key 'shadowmerchant' not found in Map::get() The mod adds new townspeople. And that's one of them. Any way I can remove the problematic person manually? Already reported this to the modder, asking here just in case.
I don't have any crashing going on from Colony Tweaks. I do have that error, but I have ignored it. Just some ugly patching going on without using a test condition. But to be honest, I haven't messed with colonies for a bit. I don't currently have one so I can't be sure that mod isn't the cause, but that error is probably nothing. Likewise that same number is used in the directory structure for workshop mods. steamapps/workshop/content/211820/755833356/contents.pak would be the file if you ever wanted to take a look. Just pull that number from the URL Now back to that log. It looks to me that you warped to your ship... and that's where things went south. Something on your ship. Something with wire nodes. There is also mention of a Fracking Universe set bonus but I just don't think that's it. It COULD be the colony deed mod. I don't know if you have deeds on your ship.
The bonus for FU's xenoset is fine. I used the set 2 days ago and the last update on the statuseffect itself was 2 months ago according to github. So i can confirm that FU can be excluded. ^-^ ~ Iris ~
I don't have any deeds on my ship, only about five crewmembers. Just what the heck's wrong with my world? Can I even fix it at this point, or I just have to delete my ship somehow and get it to reset? LATER: Tried removing the spaceship files. It still crashes... Just what's to blame? This exact collection of mods worked perfectly before. Log LATER: Also, I don't crash on other worlds, as I checked with another character. So it seems like only this world is borked. And it's my homeworld. Crap. LATER: I just removed the old universe folder, and generated a new one. It crashed once, then worked. After that I returned the OLD universe folder. Now it works. I don't even.
I have a hunch actually. Did this happen right as you upgraded a ship previously? I recall a similar error to this when I tried to have the teleporters in my Shipyard Rebuilt mod (BTW it works with Mad Tulip's ship mod) not be in every tier of the ship (in favor of it being a residual object), but that was due to not having SOMETHING with this line. So I had to undo my "improvement." "flags" : [ "playerSpawn" ], (defined in the blockKey present in the blockImage. So I had to undue my improvement. Now that might not make any sense to someone who doesn't make ship mods. But Mad Tulip caught my eye, and Unbreakable teleporters. I would THINK Unbreakable teleporters isn't touching the ship teleporters. Try this since you're starting your ship over anyhow. Don't uninstall anything, do install (you can remove this later if you want) my "Shipyard Rebuilt" mod. Then see if you still have the error. And if you do, delete your .shipworld file one more time and try again. Let us know the result one way or another.
Well, I've already managed to fix this whole thing by removing the universe folder, regenning it, and then putting back the old one. SOMEHOW it fixed everything, I have no idea how. But now there's no error.
